at the same time. you know what i'm saying? >> better to have all of that in the bags than in the water. >> absolutely making a difference for sure. first at nip clock though this morning, we need to get to the latest from las vegas. this morning police are no closer to determining a motive for the mass shooting much despite the fbi interviewing the gunman's girlfriend marilou danley. investigators have determined more about his plot. they now say he may have int intended to escape alive after that hail of gunfire on a country concert and that suicide may not have been a part of the plan. in the meantime, they are also still trying to determine if he acted alone or if someone else is still out there. maureen has more on the case and the long road ahead. mo. >> indeed like you said no motive yet in the las vegas massacre but it doesn't mean investigators aren't learning more about the man responsible. police are pouring over the las vegas gunman's actions leading up to sunday's shooting hoping to find some kind of clue that could explain exactly what

happened. officials now say steven paddock rent another room in vegas during the festival in mid september. they're not sure why but it is being factored into their investigation. this as their finding out paddock specifically requested an upper floor for his suite at the mandalay bay hotel. it was into the mandalay bay paddock was able to bring nearly two dozen firearms. plus thousands of rounds of ammunition. authorities say the possession of so many guns in the room and at his two properties as well as the transport of such a large amount of equipment is questionable. >> troublesome that this individual was able to move this amount of gear into a hotel room unassisted. troublesome for the amount of stuff he had at both residence. those remarks came aft his girlfriend was interviewed for hours denying any involvement in the planning of the massacre. investigators admit they have not gotten much closer to a motive. they do believe, though, there are

to be. bob? >> reporter: hey, maureen it's the talk of the campus this morning. suspect is 24-year-old man from alexandria. his name is john he had guard rust. this is a photograph from the time he was arrested for child sex -- sex offense he's a convict sex offender who was apparently on probation at the time these threats against howard were made in nove november 2015. he's accused by federal prosecutors of threatening to kill african-american students here at howard university. most of which what he posted online was obviously too vulgar to share on television but one of things he said was this. sure, the poe poe will take me down but i'll go out a hero knowing i made the world better. >> now, howard university is reacting officially with a tweet this morning and it says this "relieved the fbi arr arrested n edgar rust for 2015 rate sift threats to murder

serious allegations of grade fixing win prince george's county schools. school ceo dr. kevin maxwell continues to deny the allegations into grade fixing and other fraudulent activity within the school system. this was first brought to light by four school board members and you may remember it all launched after a request from maryland governor larry hogan and then the board voted unanimously to have this outside third party find out what exactly is really going on in the school system. now, a couple of week ago, a hotline and e-mail was created for whistleblowers it's a way for staff to reach out to investigators. however the school district still has not sent that information out to staff and many are asking why including one of the board members who called for this audit. take listen. >> i'm still meeting teachers today to this day that don't realize that the hotline number has already been made public season available for them. when dr. maxwell was defending himself saying this was not happening, he sent out self e-mails tohe

tied they can get their folks up there and they're getting the trash that probably hasn't been touched in years. >> so you -- this is your full-time job out on this river. tell me about the changes here. all positive stuff, right. >> i've been here five and a half years. it was very much doom and gloom when i started and we were telling still telling that story for a couple of years. not only is the river improving but the tone of the conversation around the river is improving. it's completely turned around from what's been wrong for so long to not only do we have drawings and not only do we have plans for fixes, but each of these problems has a fix in place. >> you said in maybe a year some of this river will be swimmable. >> probably next year. at least the lower portion of the river should be swimmable most days because the d.c. tunnel project comes online march 23rd of 2018. >> wow that's fantastic. tray, for people at home that are watching, what's the number one thing we can do to help keep this river clean at home. >> pick up where you are. you can be carefully about how you leave trash on the ground. you can pick up after other people. you can realize that everything around you that you seen

and story line. >> david battista is from d.c. here's a couple of things to note. 1982 blade runner didn't do well into the box office and it became sci-fi cult hit over the years because it really did change the way science fiction films were made. it was sr. riledly scott way ahead of his time. it's based on novel do androids dream of electric sheep. it sounds like a strange name. >> title of the movie better. >> so here's the basic premise. in the '82 film harrison ford is a blade runner and his job is to retire or kill rep applicants which are not human beings. they look and appear to be human beings they're androids they're not born they're made. so he falls in love with a rep applicant that he has to kill and that kind of creates a dramatic element there, and then the end of the '82 film, they kind of get away and we don't know where really happens. so now -- >> harrison ford and the rep my can get away. >> correct. >> wasn't there question

watch do you say to those people who say enough of these plays? it's more low brow than high brow. [ laughter ] >> urban theater. they call that it which it link plays gospel plays. this is not a gospel play. it has to be in terms of the writing. i understand what they're saying in terms of representation. we have month stereotypes in this play. >> i think the thing that makes the difference is people like robin. people like jackee' that will come into this genre and lift it up and bring their talent bring their gift and help people like myself to grow as actors. >> i must say, my mother in the business because i'm from family of people like you were supposed to be doctor. how are you an actress. >> my mom in this business has been sicily tyson and she took me to see one of the first plays and she said to me, robin, you really have to see everything. and she would take me to see kit, this play, mom i want to sing. she said let's go see ever everything. and i kind of get that now.
