gunman aacker. the news at 10 starts right now. >> we begin tonight with breaking news in montgomery country, maryland, firefighters right now are battling a massive fire in townhouse in north potomac. sky fox above the scene and on the ground seeing fire crews peble hill lane. investigators believe that this fire started right up there in the window on the second floor in bedroom. we understand several neighboring town homes were evacuated as a result of this. again you can see the ladder there focused on second floor bedroom. at this point no word on injuries or how the fire started and we'll keep monitoring the situation and keep you posted with any updates. >> also in montgomery county a substitute teacher

accused of having an inappropriate relationship with home. victim says they met at montgomery blair high school where he worked. >> "fox5" evan lambert is live outside of the school with more tonight, evan. >> reporter: tony, police say they started investigating this late last month. but the victim told them that in august is when the coach started exchanging suggestive text messages with the victim. later in augusta according to montgomery county police, that's when 27-year-old korey boatman ended up pigging up the student and taking her to his home for sex. that female student is just 16 years old. and boatman has worked for the school district many years coaching football at montgomery player for at least six years. he's also been a substitute at northwood high school. district officials say boatman is on administrative leave and has been since

first got word of the allegations. boatman isxuwi a footbal game here at blair. we spoke to some parents about this and here's what he one had to say. >> when you send your children to school you know that all the teachers are adults and they need to know better. even if a child is making inappropriate advances or asked to be on their social media by the time you're a teacher you need to know, you just don't do that. they always talk about you want your children to be close to their teachers and come for extra help and as a parent you do want that, but, the teacher knows the lien you never cross the line. and so i'm sad to hear it's happened again. >> reporter: a letter went out to parent at montgomery player today and in it school principal renee johnson said in part these kharns are deeply concerning and unacceptable and this kind of behavior does not reflect the principles of ncps or our
