>> what era was this. >> i believe in the 1920s, 1930s. don't quote me on the exact date. i'll get the dates on that way -- well in the early 1900's and before the comic book got famous. but it game a huge success because of everything that was happening. but no one has ever told this story that i had never seen before of the two women who inspired the comic book. >> nass fascinating. >> that game the wonder woman we know which is obviously a little bit different. i spoke to bella heath coat who plays the mistress in the film luke evans who plays professor marston about this strange story but the intimate scenes in the film are very intimate i wanted to know how they were able to get through those onset without it being weird. >> i think they made it. >> watch this. >> i think i'm sure a lot of think of wonder woman you don't think of -- i didn't know this story. i didn't know anything about this. >> particularly the erotic element of it which is obviously something that we see in the film. >> yeah. >> shooting those scenes ever get weird? i know actors -- >> always. they're always awful except for this film. >> w

interesting or better? >> the cast and angela. angela has this great technique she describe it before we started. i've shot a bunch of sex scenes. i know how to do them. just have to trust me. she plays music through the whole thing listening all sorts of outrageous songs you just be laughing. >> what songs? >> um, my neck, my back. [ laughter ] >> we'llly she was that was a strong choice. all sorts of songs. i mean there was like a little marvin gay in there. i think we played a few different songs, um, one we just said, no, stop this one this is real not getting us in the mood. i mean i don't remember what song it was. but music is an interesting one. i know a lot of director who's have used it. peter jackson does it a lot uses music -- >> really? >> create an atmosphere especial physical you're working on green screen. sometimes music is great way to allow to you disappear, you

[ laughter ] >> because those scenes are obviously very strange to shoot. what she was saying this was was apparently more interesting because of the music choices she was saying. >> also, we were enjoying each other's company. we were supposed to be enjoying it, and so the music just he helped. we chose the music and, you k know, and it helped us to relish what it must have been like for thee these when they first ever did commit and, you know, get up to the mischief they got up to as a threesome. >> now obviously i had no idea this story was. in regards to -- i mean i knew wonder woman i had no idea this skiffed prior to her. i know that you probably are asked a lot about like dunk this story or not, but did you honestly have any idea. >> absolutely no knowledge of any of this. no. i mean when i read the script, i -- i had to speak to angela. so is this

>> yeah. >> have you made some of this up and she's like no, it's all real. this guy -- even angela when she started looking at researching wonder woman, she said all of a sudden she found his little story line about the fact they lived together as a relationship for his whole life and when he died, they lived together into their 90's for another 40 years. >> it's an insane story. and they did live together in a house. they had kids together. it is amazing by the way wonder woman herself is created in 1941. a this all happen in the 30s prior, n when he says polly am maris than the three them living together. >> that's exactly what it was and you'll see in the film there was a lot of controversy. the people who were living next to them. you'd never seen something like this. >> curious if they'll be with this film out any blow back are you trying to exploit the wonder woman movie that came out last year. >> it's an interesting question the timing of it was a coincidence and i know that this is an actual story. this is a true story. i mean obviously they do fictional things in

gratifying remark is that people are, a, like so grateful for the conversation. because in i never let them see you sweat society we don't talk about the things that challenge us. >> right. >> as though there should be some shame around it but every sip gel human being if you have a nervous system -- >> right. >> -- then you have experienced hurts, dramas, traumas, upsets and disappointments and just being able to acknowledge that takes a lot of the stress off. and we're all about, you know, resilience and fostering our resilience by conversation is a great starting point. another thing that people are, um, um, um, surprised by is that not only is the conversation well coming but to hear that we are more than the things that have happened to us and more than the struggles we encounter. i mean that's like -- that it's like a powerful idea. >>

is -- it is one of the best path ways to freedom. if in fact something has happened to you in your life, then being able to have a conversation about that to acknowledge that that has taken place is a great starting point for moving forward. so i hope that anyone who has found themselves in the situation that's going on with harvey weinstein or any other abusive situation that you know that just acknowledging that, speaking to it, saying this happened to me but it doesn't need to define me, and from this point forward, you can choose who you want to be and how you want to respond to that old history. >> right. >> you're on own. you're on queen sugar. you're on vi. tell the people why they need to watch queen sugar and vi holding it together on

>> so like having the puppets there was like a puppet costume and then there was someone signed the puppet and then there was someone behind the scenes controlling like all like the eyes and the mouth and the arms. >> like the facial expression. >> yeah. so being able to like talk to something rather than just like talking to air and having it talk back to you was so cool. >> it was really cool because you're basically like talking to a real life living sea monster.
