talked to a friend of the 17-year-old victim and she said it was the girl's exboyfriend that did this this happened 8:45 last night. there was a massive police presence when we arrived. there ways search for a shooter and plater police realized one of the victims was the gunman. he has been identified today as 19-year-old nerson nunez lopez of maryland and they have not identified the other two shot because they're juveniles both from alexandria and 15-year-old boy shot is expected to survive. right now he's in stable condition at the hospital according to police. this is an area where a lot of families come, people are walking their dogs. a lot of activity. people not expecting this kind of violence. and we talked to a neighbor who could not believe it when she heard the gun shots. >> i was settling in to watch one of my tv shows i had the volume down low and i heard three shots and then

then about 15, 20 minute -- second pause rather and another three shoxts i knew they were not firecrackers. >> reporter: alexandria police are not confirming what led up to this that there was any kind of romantic relationship between the suspect and female victim. they are confirming that the suspect and victims all knew each other and they also said today they have no reason to believe that gang activity played a role in this. live in alexandria, lindsey watts, "fox5 local news". raek breaking tonight. a d.c. man in trouble with police for assault in the district is now under arrest charged with attempting to assault a woman in cam spr springs. 23-year-old kerry edwards. in this most recent incident he broke into a woman's home saturday morning and attempted to assault her. police were called and noticed edward's running from the home naked at the time. he was able to gate way and was

local radar stormtracker not showing anything just a few showers. well off west along the mountains seeing a little bit of rain leading edge of this cold front which is very slowly moving northeast more north ward than east ward. the box is extended to southern central portions of virginia. still southwest of viewing area and you get the idea there's pretty strong stuff associated with the cold front that extends all the way down to carolinas where they had several reports of tornadoes with this line of moving through. that should remain off towards south. by the time the storms get in the overnight hours we lost most instability associated with it. mild. 74 d.c., 7 baltimore and 74 annapolis and stevensville and 71 dulles and martinsburg. we're seeing high temperatures low to mid 60s now. we will. we've been well above normal. pocket of warm air d.c. to richmond. colder air behind the front with temperatures only in the low 60s.

pittsburgh, columbus, look at that chilly 54 in chicago right now. fox future cast will play it out for you. sprichingls ahead of that front not out of the question. you may see a rogue shower or two through the evening hours. but the main event which looks substantially weaker by the time it reaches us during the overnight hours pushes throug metro 2 and 4 aex. you may wake up to heavy rain pounding outside but it's all gone bit the time you hit the morning commute there you go 7 a.m. and unless you're far northeast of baltimore 95 i i don't think you see steady rain. turning breezy and sunny and nice and mild. marginal risk for severe weather. better chance where tornado warning is effect in south central pennsylvania. breezy tomorrow. it will actually be mild. cold air not arriving or colder air until tuesday night to wednesday. so sunny, breezy and mild afternoon with temperatures in 70s. looks great compared to the fact we could have gusty showers
