they're asking homeowners if they know this man here. he's known as a person of interest in this case. now, they just released this picture and this video. prince george's county police released video of this man riding his bicycle through the neighborhood. detectives to a would like to talk to the man regarding the assault that happened monday, about 4:30 in the afternoon, police say a man grabbed a woman jogging here in this area and sexual assaulted her on a nearby playground before she was able to break free and run away. we want to show the video one more time. apparent of interest described as an african-american male, heavyset, wearing a gray hooded shirt and black pants. and again, detectives out here today, they're asking neighbors if they know anything about this case and asking people to call the sexual assault unit. you can dial 301-772-49o 8 or remain anonymous.

into snow showers on up slope or western side of mountains. we should stay dry but it's had hasn't impact on temperatures. we're at 63 at this hour, but you get off to the north and west and running into 50's, including 57 in martinsberg, 52 in cumberland and winchester, about 54. we'll see things getting chillier tonight, this is pretty significant change in the last 24 hours. we're about nine degrees cooler than we were yesterday at 5:00. as many as 14 degrees cooler as you get towards hagerstown and can cumberland as well as winchester, cold night ahead, but not as cold as tomorrow night. we're headed back to the 30's tonight. above the frosty levels. that might not be the case tomorrow night. headed for 36, hagerstown, 48 for dc, 42 for manassas and about 45 for annapolis. you'll be near 40 in frederick. 45 in fredericksburg. as we look at our world series forecast too, yesterday's first pitch a whooping 103 degrees,

shattered at definitely the hottest world series we've seen, it's not a lot better today, at little better. we think the first pitch temperature will be 95. the record heat continues for la. on the east coast we'll be watching it in the comfort of temperatures in the 60's falling through the 50's by the time we get to 7:00. 58. by 9:00, 56, we've got clouds building in now, they will hang around most of the rest of the evening, we expect things to stay dry here, 54 degrees. what to expect tomorrow, it's brisk fall weather for your thursday, the coolest day of the week, a lot of places will top in the 50's to maybe near 60, for the kids at the bus stop that is chilly. 42 to 50, they will definitely want the jacket, likely be on breezy side tomorrow. after school, 55 to 60. coming up in a a little bit. we'll talk about a warmup before we get to the wash-out. we'll let you know what to expect as we go forward through the weekend coming up later.

district police confirming this shooting. 6th district working on this, a juvenile male has been shot. we do not know the age of this juvenile male. the child is reportedly conscious and breathing. police are on the scene as of now, we do not have any information about a suspect, a description of the suspect or anything like that. this happened in northeast washington a short time ago. we have a crew headed to the scene and will bring you more information about it as soon as it becomes available. >> thank you. in the days after dc firefighters smotherers what critically injured, there were fears he would not survive. the 28-year-old had numerous broken bones and there were real concerns that he would never walk again. after three months in the hospital, dane smotherers not only walked, he said he's ready to get back to work. paul wagner live in northwest with the story. >> reporter: an i

that it is dane worked here on new jersey avenue northwest. the night he was involved in the accident. he was rookie firefighter responding to his first what they call working fire. three months after the accident and in intense rehabilitation, he's finally going home. [cheers and applause] . >> reporter: that's dane and his dad three months after he was crushed between the screen he was working on and a ladder truck responding to a fire on the northeast side of capitol hill. injuries we learned that briefly stopped his heart and sent him into shock. >> i wanted to thank you, everyone especially the staff and nurses and doctors who, you know, helped save my life. and the firefighter family. here in dc and

. a fire hazard prompted fish price to recall some infant soothing motion seats. the company received nearly 40 reports of product including one of an actual fire. so far, no injuries have been reported, but the recall involves the soothing motion seats and something called the smart connect soothing motion seats. they were sold at toys are us, wal-mart, amazon. you can return it for a full return. a new study finds high levels of dangerous chemicals in baby food and infant formulas >> the clean label project, a nonprofit advocating for transparent labeling tested some baby foods, infant formulas, purchased within the past five month, they they say arsenic w

spotted. nearly 80 percent puts tested positive for arsenic. the toxin is associated with develop defects cardiovascular disease, even cancer, after about 530 baby food products were tested researchers found 65 tested positive for arsenic. 36 for led, 58 for cadyum. mainstream bands including gerber, em meal and sprout were among the worst offenders and 60% tested positive for the industrial chemical. a spokesperson for the fda respond saying it is important for consumers to understand that some contaminates such as heavy metals like led or arsenic are in the environment and cannot simply be removed from food. the

. is this is fox 5 local news at 5:00. a loudoun county man is dead after he was critically injured while trapped in a piece of farm equipment. officials say he somehow became trapped in an ta to a terror. it happened this morning along lovitzville road about 15 miles north of

the victim's name has not been released. you're looking at video of a person of interest in a sexual abuse case in the district. this happened early sunday on the 1400 block of q street in northwest. crime solvers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. a man faces fraud charges related to case involving a man with autism. in august, montgomery county police say kim profit walked into the navy federal credit union and deposited a fake check written to the victim for an amount totaling more than $2,000. police also say he walked outside and used the victim's stolen atm card and pin to where was $600 in cash. tonight, democratic party leaders scrambling to explain their role in funding a 2016 campaign report that claimed president trump had improper and scan lus connections with russia >> he insisted nearly a year that the dossier was a politically motivated smear

now, the hillary clinton campaign helped to fund that report. a lot of talk about this one in dc tonight. >>reporter: sure is, jim and sarah, dnc is out with a statement tonight saying that none of their current leadership had any role in funding this trump russia dossier, but it's important to point out, this statement has no mention at all of the past leaders here at the dnc, all the while, the president seizing on this. saying that in effect, this revelation today confirms what the president has been saying all along. in his words, the russia investigation and the dossier itself in his words is a hoax. >> i think it's very sad what they've done with this fake dossier, it was made up and i understand they paid a tremendous amount of money, and hillary clinton always denied it. the democrats always denied it. and now, only because it's going to come out in a court case they said, yes, they did it. ey

>> reporter: now, this dossier exploded back in january when parts of it were published by the website buzzfeed. the company fusing gps was hired by an attorney who worked for both the clinton campaign and the democratic national committee. now, in this work, they then went ahead and hired a former british spy who compiled the salacious report. today on capitol hill, republicans asking tough questions, wanting to know if the justice department and the fbi are relying on this information as part of their own russia investigation. fox 5 asked democratic house minority leader nancy pilosi if she had prior knowledge of the dnc funding, she denied it and went on to say that the president is off line in saying this disputes the russia questions. >> i don't think the president needs any fuel. i don't think he needs any facts. i think he just does what he feels like, so,

concerned about that. what i am concerned about is the fact that the republicans are now going in all of these investigations they just do in the want to get real story of the russian intrusion and disruption of our election. >> reporter: president trump today said that he believes that this initially got started by one of his republican primary presidential opponents. however, the president would not name who that is. live at the dnc headquarters in southeast, tom fitzgerald fox 5 local news. police are looking for a suspect possibly connected to an armed robbery and shooting in silver spring. it started with entitlemented robbery in dc, several men tried to rob a truck driver in front of a 7-eleven on cedar street northwest. around 1:30, police in silver spring responded to reports of an armed robbery and shooting in the 9300 block of n

avenue. two women parked in a driveway, robbed at gunpoint. family members in came out was shot in the leg. the suspect it's fled that scene in a black nissan. one suspect was captured. other still on the loose. catholic university was under shelter in place about an hour. a baltimore city department of transportation supervisor is charged in an alleged extortion steam. darryl wade is a supervisor in a unit that handles construction permits requiring companies to block traffic on public streets, allies and sidewalks. after the permits expire, a fine is assessed. according to an fbi david, wade is accused of accepting nearly $5,000 in cash to make put the fines disappear. there's a new office in the district aimed at making the city a safer place to live. it's called the safer, stronger dc office of neighborhood safety and engagement. it's located in ward 7

leader, part of the platoon -- he was a squad leader. i should say. part of the platoon that got pinned down and required a huge number of rescues to come out. you know, what turned out to be 10,000 strong malitia coordinated ambush that nobody expected, as well as the story of the folks back home waiting for news, you know, and the stories of the families in the iraqi community that were affected. it's sort of a look at an event from as many different angles as we could see it. >> reporter: here at the nat go building, there will be two episodes maying. the actual mini series takes place in the real time of the ambush. one of the most important thing, it shows the perspective not only the soldier goes to war but the families do, the spouses, kids at home. talk about how the show cuts back and forth between that. and

home for the families as well. >> it's a thing we talk about but don't investigate the ideas of families of soldier that is go to war. the sacrifice is made on the part of the whole family. but what does that look like? and in this series, you get to see -- you get to see exactly what that price -- those families pay is. it's sleepless nights. it's impossible conversations with your children where you can't really comfort them without lying to them. because we just don't know. and we won't know until information passes through a chain of command and gets to us. it is a full-time emotional engagement on the home front. i don't think it's ever been investigated in the depth that we do in the series. >> reporter: john beaver plays eric berk win in the mini series, there's a lot that will be here this evening, michael

kelly will be here. you probably know him from house of cards. you were on good day dc you and eric were amazing. what does it feel like to play someone who's actually living and having them see the work of yourself on screen? it's got to be a surreal thing to sit here and watch it with the person you're playing >> absolutely. at first, it was extreme intimidating to know that i'm going to try to recreate, you know, the heroism and the almost impossible fates that this man and this battalion undertook to fight back against what happened to them. it very quickly became an advantage barbecue eric is an extremely generous guy from the beginning. he was telling me, i could do it before i even believed i could do it. and we've had that level of support from, you know, countless numbers of 2 five calf. these guys came

setup. even though you can see oranges and golds and reds, we've had so much warm weather this month, it's been challenging, not just here but really all across the northeast. so this weekend into next is probably your best time to see some of that color before the leaves start to fall for good. it's chilly tonight. we've got reenforcing cold air. temperatures back into the 40's. high temperatures will only really come close to 60 tomorrow, pretty cool with temperatures in the 50's. we got nice weather and moderating temperatures into the weekend. sunday looks like it could be a wash-out. like i said, latest foliage reports shows that high color across much of the northeast. even up into portions of upstate, new york, new england, moderate color in dc, if you want to head out. saturday is your day with sunshine to the shenandoah valley and into the mountains there. that's where they're at peak color.

skyline drive, this is the time to do it. in the metro, it will be more like next week. temperatures 63 dc, 63, baltimore, 59 in gaithersburg, 61, dulles, jacket weather as soon as the sun sets now, it's pretty cool and we saw much colder day north and west with the 24-hour temperature change showing temperatures ten to 15 degrees cooler. nine cooler in washington. if we show this again, it will continue to show negative signs, will be about five to ten degrees cooler in some spots. seeing those temps tumble. satellite and radar offshore cold front rain parts of new england, boston, new york city and that upper level low positioned towards the north and west bringing clouds and showers and very cool temperatures only in the 40's across ohio and western pennsylvania. so for tonight, we've got that chillier air setting up. probably more clouds around but i don't think we see any showers. temperatures overnight are in the 30's for the mountains in our northwest suburb, 40's for the metro. and daytime highs are mainly in the 50's, especially north and east of washington, we'll see 60's south and west and
