something like that dropped off at my house. >> no trick or treat. the disturbing package that residents of one virginia community found in front of their homes. the news at 10:00 starts right now. tonight, stunning new allegations of grade fixing in prince george's county public schools, hours before a final report is set to be released in a state ordered having, a whistle blower come forward. a school employee claims that she and others were told to change students's records before investigators came to their school. fox 5's lindsay watts has new details in a story you saw first on fox. shawn and tony this information comes from an e-mail we obtained. a prince george's county high school employee sent it to the firm conducting the investigation into allege grade fixing to boost the graduation rate. the e-mail from the woman says before investigators were scheduled to visit her school. that she and other employees spent all day and all night getting student files in order. spec

tallies added up for seniors who graduated in last two years. she said those tallies were a key part of the investigation. in the e-mail to investigators, she said schools were calling around to other schools to get them done before you all came. she also writes that as they worked on those tallies, they found students who should not have graduated because they did not meet the core requirements for graduation. the woman who sent the e-mail didn't want to be named, and she didn't want her school name. she sent e-mail to the firm conducting the investigation as well as school bus members edward boroughs and david murray who initially requested the probe >> it's weird that a lot of different high schools were talking to each other about what investigators were looking for and what they should be planning into. the fact that records were altered not only shows that one the initial accusations are true. what

followed a woman from the food court into a star well. we will have much more only investigation, a closer look at those image puts coming up tonight in a live report at 10:30. dc police need your help identifying a person of interest in robbery in northeast. investigators say the victim and suspect arranged to meet through an online dating ap. suspect attacked the victim and stole his money. marina marraco is live at police headquarters now with the latest. marina. >> reporter: police have a victim and they believe they know exactly where the crime took place. but tonight, dc police asking for the public's assistance in identifying this man, they're call him a person of interest. someone who they believe set up his victim by luring them to meet up via a dating ap. police won't say which of the social media tools this man used. but they said the robbery and the assault happened here on neil street in the trinidad neighborhood of northeast dc late saturday. the victim told police the two were supposed to meet f

but both men began to undress and at some point, the victim says he felt uncomfortable and tried leaving when he was pushed back on the bed and restrained against his will. it was then when the suspect threatened with bashing his head with a tire extinguish, both men ran outside. the suspect stole $200 from the victim's pocket and told them, quote, if you call the police, i will find you and slit your throat and your kid too. again, dc police asking for the public's insistence in helping identify as well as finding the man you see. if you have information regarding this man, give dc police call. live tonight marina marraco fox 5 local news. not guilty pleas from former trump campaign chairman paul manafort and associate rick gates. they appeared in court on the first criminal charges in the russia election probe. both could face decades in prison, if found guilty. sarah simmons joins us with the latest on the

quite day, sarah. >> the indictment spells out what special you counsel robert mueller's office calls a money laundering scheme. paul manafort and his business partner, rick gates are facing a dozen charges including money laundering and conspiracy. the indictment states that up to $75 million flowed into overseas accounts, controlled by both manafort and gates. manafort is charged with laundering over 18 million to buy property and luxury goods. gates is accused of transferring over 3 million to accounts he ranch indictment said the two men did not register as foreign agents when they did work for pro russia government. manafort's lawyer calls the charges base less >> i think you all saw today that president trump is correct. there is no evidence that mr. manafort or the trump campaign colluded with the russian

she was in town to attend the women's march in dc. they've tried to contact the actress so she can appear in loudoun county court. a florida man is charged with multiple sexual assaults that happened more than 20 years ago in reston virginia. fairfax county police said he sexually four women in an apartment in reston back in 1995. in august, dna evidence connected him to the crimes, he was arrested last week in florida. he's now being held while waiting extradition. . a grand jury indicted the man accused of kill three coworkers. he's charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment and weapons charges for shooting an acquaintance at a used car lot in wilmington. and first-degree murder and attempted murder charges in maryland. police say he shot five coworkers killing three at the advanced granite solutions in har ford county. . a disturbing

it was there where they say this man robbed and assaulted this victim. he's being called a person of interest in the case. montgomery county police are looking for help to track down three men who robbed a woman inside a mall parking garage. they're hoping newly released surveillance video will help lead to arrests. it happened earlier at the west field wheaton mall where we find cori coffin, what have police been able to tell about this so far? >> reporter: they told me that it happened at the end of the night as people were leaving to head to their cars. we want to have you take a look at your screen, this is the picture that police released from the video. detectives believe these two men along with a third man not pictured here, followed a woman from the food court and into a stairwell connected to a nearby parking garage. victim told police that the three suspects, one armed with a gun covered their faces with masks. the first suspect assaulted her and held her at gunpoint

have one more reenforcing shot of cooler air that will spread clouds a bit later. the rain was helpful. we needed it. what a slog for the redskins and da dallas. maybe you heard about this, two and a half inches. winter green 1.5 and maybe as much as eight inches of snow over the weekend. the wind diminished quite a bit. it is going to be chilly. mainly clear skies with high thin clouds coming in a little bit later. our halloween forecast is looking very nice. the most important thing i think for halloween is that it not be a rainy one and we got the rain overwith last night. might be few showers wednesday. not for halloween. and it will also, our seven-day forecast feature a couple of mild days as we get into the thursday, friday time frame. maybe even as warm as 75 on friday.

about the cooler temperatures as usual. winchester one of the cooler spots down to 39 already. most places either in the mid 40's to near 50 degrees. definitely going to be chilly tonight as we head for the low and mid 30's as we get to the north and west. to about 40 in the closer and suburbs, 44 for the cities, low 40's points south and east. it's a cool start on halloween. we'll still be under the influence of that big departing area of low pressure. a bit of a northwest flow especially after the reenforcing front goes through. average high temperatures about 64. nice for kids for the halloween parades and by the way trick or treating looking good. let's run you through the time frame. i don't know too many kids that go out this early as 4:00. maybe they're getting ready with friends, 58. notice the winds are fairly light under ten miles an hour the whole time, which is great. a lot of trick or treaters going out between 6:00 and 7:00.

50's, but there could be upper 40's in the suburbs if they're heading out later, maybe the teenagers 50 by 8:00 and by 9:00, 49 degrees, those winds stay light the skies stay clear. afternoon highs we'll top out anywhere from the mid 50's to near 60, if my just a little bit above as we look to the south. i mentioned a few showers on wednesday. we put this forward because you can see not much in the way cloud cover, but as we head on into wednesday, we see clouds increasing and showers around in the afternoon primarily. but again, mostly about the cloud cover as we get to wednesday, we'll describe the shower activity as spotty. then we pop a couple of warm days, thursday and friday, 71 to 75. unfortunately. the weekend not looking great. looks like we'll drop maybe drizzle drizzle saturday, maybe showers sunday on the fall-back day. monday not too bad, mostly cloudy and 70. that is your seven-day forecast.
