say something. law enforcement will only be as good at intelligence they get. if we're dealing with lone wolf attackers that's dangerous. the only people that can prevent that are maybe family members or close friends who see behavior starting to turn or take askew for the worst with those individuals >> think about the world we're in right now and we talk about radicalation and there's a lot of this happening on line so it's not so easy, to notice they have books or phone call with somebody or meetings with somebody, so much is out there is out there online. >> that is true. so normally, what you're absolutely true, there is a lot of this out online and individuals who decide to become radicalized go into kind of a have a private session with themselves, to my understanding, they have to talk to somebody. i think it's, whether it's a

talk about the diversity visa program then called it a schumer beauty. of course, referring to the senate democratic leader chuck schumer. the larger point was this, he said he's taking steps to end this diversity program that allowed this suspect to enter the u.s. because he has very serious concerns, he says, about the vetting that goes on to allow these individuals into the u.s. schumer, as you'll hear here in a minute, fired back. >> we want people that are going to help our country. we want people that will keep our country safe. we don't want lotteries where the wrong people are in the lotteries and guess what? who are the suckers that get those people? >> look, the president ought to stop tweeting and start leading. the american people long for leadership. not divisive ness. not finger pointing, not name calling. this is

>> reporter: well, he saipov got in through this diversity visa program, this allows 50,000 people to apply for the lottery and if selected they're allowed to enter if they meet certain criteria, if they have work experience, if they have a high school diploma. they can also then turned around and sponsor others, that's raising a lot of questions from critics who call this a loop hole in the united states security. this program, even though the president called it a schumer beauty today, we should tell you, was signed into law under a republican president, george hw bush in 1990. critics now, the heritage foundation, david scenario said it needs to update the system because it does not fit in with security protocols we're currently facing in 2017

system is written from during the cold war. that's the nature of it. that's why a lot of people have been talking about how we need to update our immigration system. diversity visa, that's one of those things i believe a lot can agree on. it does not -- doesn't bring a lot to his and we should be looking for ways to improve the benefit that the united states is gaining from immigration. >> reporter: we should also tell you the president was asked about the remark he had made about transferring this suspect to the u.s. prison in guantanamo bay. that has been raised as a serious possibility now because there's a note he allegedly left pledging allegiance to isis and in fact, whether or not he identified himself as an enemy combatant >> we appreciate the update. new tonight, california distraught brad sherman formally introduced an article of impeachment against president trump and accuses the
