talking to, they don't believe the polls that are out. pretty skeptical >> where have we are heard that before >> yes. i mean, some of the big issues down here for southwest virginia, we got a lot of rural areas, the black berg area, job creation is huge this area has lost jobs. done rights have been huge. we've been seeing the commercials in recent days bringing up really heated discussions, even within families, where it's been really tough but people strongly opinionated one way or another healthcare is huge down here, we have one of our rural counties, they just within the past few weeks unexpectedly had a medical facility with an emergency room abruptly closed with barely less than 24 hours notice. down here in the rural areas, that's huge. because their concern about the future of their hospitals, and the other thing is the opioid epidemic down here. southwest virginia, a lot of families affected >> we're talking about it and and a

we're kind of looking at it through almost that prism, you talk about the local issues and these are what a lot of people are saying this is what matters in a gubernatorial race, you're worried about the kitchen table issues and you sum it up well >> down here, there's the invisible line, there's a huge divide and some people do not even, you know, it's funny to say, some people don't consider northern virginia as virginia. this is a huge commonwealth and there's a huge different mindset when you're talking about people who live in rural southwest virginia compared to northern, it can be two different worlds, mind sets for people >> would you call it a matter of disrupt? are they looking at people in northern virginia in a total different light >> i would say so. i would say the disrupt. distrust, people feel to forgotten about down here, got northern virginia, people out by the coves we're hearingbo

26 people lost their lives. it is worth mentioning mental health is part of the national conversation we've been talking about having but haven't seen to have gotten around yet that within we were supposed to have after sandy hook or las vegas. we moved away from the idea of institutioning people with mental illness. states continue to short change funding for mental health services, congress can did something and passed a mental health reform bill passed and signed by president obama they did anything to pay for the bill. gun control proponents are told it's too soon in the aftermath of a tragedy but if the president wants to address mental health and let's be honest, that's a good thing, can we at least do that now? i guess we'll see, that's the final five, it is election night tomorrow, i urge you if there are important races in your area, they say all politics is local. vote no matter where you are.
