i comes to tax reform. house gop leaders are trying to figure out if they have the votes for their version of the bill to pass. the good news for tax re form we spend a lot of time talking about the numbers of tax reform and the ralph it those numbers translate into real people's lives who will benefit from the process of tax reform and as we start discussing ways to use some of the revenues perhaps from the individual mandate to lower taxes for the middle class, this is a classic example of a powerful mechanism for us to address those folks in the middle class, the hard work ing americans living paycheck to paycheck. that guy, by the way, is south carolina senator tim scott. he did mention the individual mandate much the senate gop is adding a provision to its tax bill that will repeal the affordable care acts mandate. it's something president trump wants. it's also a major change. until today they

could put the whole votes in jeopardy. repealing the mandate would free up to more than 300 billion-dollar in government funning over the next decade but it would cost 13 million fewer people to be injured. democrats are saying the gop has to put tax reform on hold to focus on budget negotiations. i would say we ought to be focusing on getting this done now. this is an immediate problem, december 8 we run out of monday. our republican colleagues are focused on tax reform and they're losing the ability to focus on what needs to be done right now. it is just unbelievable what they are doing . their tax bill is such a mess in terms of not helping the middle class enough, in terms of the deficit that they're gesta ing themselves in a knot and it's sort of like yoga bear all over again. the house is expected to vote on its tax re form bill on
