44 at manassas and 41 at dulles. it will be bitter cold overnight. take a look, a huge portion of the country still getting all this cold air that's settling in. we had a nice southerly flow on saturday. that helped to warm our temperatures up a bit ahead of a strong frontal system. but once that front moves through, things took a different turn for the reverse and we ended up getting north a northwesterly an westerly flow, so the cold air is in place for tonight. here ap look at what you can expect as we get into the overnight hour, 29 in manassas. 35 in the nation's capitol. a chilly 31 for gaithersburg. only 28 at hagerstown. and 30 at winchester. we're also seeing those winds are going to improve as i mentioned but right now still gusting from 16 to up to 22 miles per hour, and those winds are moving in from the west northwest. our highs today, quite a treat. we head into the 60's, but it won't be that warm tomorrow. i'll have more details

seven-day a little later. lauren? >> thank you. now to a lesson that many people are coming to learn if you attack president trump or his policies, he is going to fire back. earlier today, the president created yet another fire storm when he tweeted about three aclu basketball players arrested for shoplifting when they were in china for a basketball tournament. he talked about the aclu case when he met with china's president last week. and the case was then resolved. but the father of one of the players dismissed the president's involvement in comments he made to espn. that didn't sit well, so today, mr. trump responded by saying now that the three basketball players are out of china and saved from years in jail, la var ball the father of lee angelo is unaccepting what i did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. i should have left them in jail. president trump also responding to arizona senator jeff flake after the

morning in the 4400 block of massachusetts avenue. the victim claims the suspect was a driver for a car they had hired. the victim said they don't know the suspect anyone with any sort of information is asked to call police. gofundme page set up today for the baltimore police detective who was shot and killed on duty last week has already raised thousands of dollars. the page was set up for detective sean suiter's family by the baltimore police department. tomorrow officers are finally expected to clear the scene where he was killed. it's been locked down since wednesday. detective suiter was shot in the head while working a case in west baltimore. a reward for information leading to an arrest is now $215,000. suiter leaves behind a wife and five children. . also in maryland, a 17-year-old who was shot in the head yesterday in annapolis has died. it happened along president street. investigators believe the teen terry bossily few his ll

with a group of people when someone in the group shot him. the group got into car and drove off. a gofundme page has been set up for bossily funeral expenses. in the district, it's been a violent weekend, police are investigating three separate shootings, two of them deadly. fox 5 lindsey watts is live near dupont circle in northwest with the latest. >> reporter: marina this is a high traffic area with high end stores and nice restaurants, early this morning it was a crime scene on m street neighbor connecticut avenue. police say a man was attacked and shot in the stomach after the bars let out before 2:00 in the morning. the police report says this incident was club related and there are a lot of bars, a lot of night life activity in this area. fortunately the victim did survive and police were quickly able to arrest the two suspects they were after. both of them are 26 years old. try jenkins of heightsville and

just about five minutes after the shooting here, police responded to another shooting. only a few miles away. this one was on spring road near george avenue in the pent worth area, police say a man was shot multiple times, found unconscious in the road and died at the hospital. he's been identified as 25-year-old christian lopez ramirez. his family live as few blocks away from the scene and didn't want to speak to us on camera but said they're devastated and they don't know what led up to this. police have made no arrests in provided no information about a motive. finally another homicide this weekend on 30th street near nailer road in southeast in. 30-year-old marcel harrison of southeast,ing he was shot multiple times before midnight, no arrests yet. so police in the district were very busy this weekend. prompted us to look at the police

year and violent crime remains down. homicides are down 14%. assault was a dangerous weapon down 20%, and overall convenient crime down 24%. however, those numbers will change slightly because they won't include the crimes from this weekend. we're live in northwest, lindsey watts fox 5 local news. also in the district, a woman was asleep in her home in northwest when police say someone broke into the home on n street around 4:30 this morning, the man allegedly touched her and stood over the victim. eventually leaving. police are now looking for that person responsible, they say once he's caught, he'll be charged with burglary as well as sexual offense. in northern virginia, the fbi is now involved in the search for three missing teenagers from prince william's county. investigators say they're worried the teens could be in danger. ashley lee mis, briana thompson and wright left the bristolre

neighborhoods, 26 miles per hour for winchester, 17 in annapolis, i don't know about you but last night with the winds i could feel everything retailing around on my balcony. we did have a winds advisory but we don't have that at all, as far as sky conditions we'll get partly cloudy skies but in the upper elevations seeing a little bit of moisture, so we're looking at snow showers across the allegheny front and near the blue ridge, and this is where they have an advisory in effect. overnight lows into the 30's, 20's as well. so it's going to be a pretty cold night. but as i said at least the wind will diminish. so the advisory, well, this is updated my map automatically so the advisory has ended it was supposed to end at 11:00. it ended earlier but cold front moved through from yesterday. leading behind us just a few clouds, ridge of high pressure builds in tomorrow, headed for the low 50's, we will see sunshine it will be a pretty bright

. police are still searching for a man who shot and killed a police officer in pennsylvania. authorities are looking for 29-year-old ram yell sal holt. investigators say he shot and killed officer brian shaw on friday after a traffic stop and foot chase. unfolded in new kensington. a city about 18 miles northeast of pittsburgh. police are offering a $40,000 reward dc police asking for your help in identifying two people who robbed a business this morning, it happened on cedar street in northwest. one of the suspect s said to pull out a gun. the men got away with ne

one was injured and police are asking anyone with any information who may identify these men, give them a call. also in the district, frightening moments at a northeast gas station where it was all caught on camera. >> take a look at the surveillance photos, two people carjacking an suv, around 4:30 yesterday morning, the suspects pointed guns at the driver, told him to get out of his vehicle, then stole his belongings. the driver wasn't hurt but the suspects then hopped in his suv and drove off. stolen vehicle is a 2012 mercedes benson with maryland tacks 6 a p 6 zero 84. police want to hear from you. this is caught on camera in texas, a car narrowly missing police officer standing on the side of the road helping another motorist whose car broke down on the highway. saw it the car came barrelling towards them. luckily the officers were able to jump out of the way on time but the car hit
