this complaint says she was fired from connor's staff because she refused his constant sexual harassment efforts. now, this stories was first broke by buzz feed late last night. their reporter, paul mack cloud is telling fox5 tonight a look at at the legal documents on this case shows numerous other women show similar stories about the long time lawmaker. there were other employees who essentially corroborated her statements and people were say ing that they were saying mr. \con\{con^}ier's touching female staffers inappropriate, rubbing their backs or their leg s even in front of people which some of these women said was humiliating and demeaning. it turns out that is only part ofhe

in disee detroit has fouled he was the target of a federal suit in us district court. we are not revealing that woman's name, but buzz feed does tell fox5 tonight that the target in that suit is a different woman than the subject of their story. in that allegation buzz feed reviewed off the statements and affidavits against cnier. one of the job was to queep a list he was assumed of having affairs with and call him at his request , if necessary and then use congressional funds to get them to his hotel. for his part reached at his home today in michigan, connors initially told the associated press he didn't remember anything about these settlements. later on, though, there was a statement. in that statement connors denied any wrongdoing, said that he did settle these cases, but settled them he says because he wanted to avoid a long

fight; his legal claim that he didn't know anything about this for some doesn't pass the smell touch. the reason, buzz feed's paul mack cloud will tell you that the own system set up by congress to deal with these sexual harassment claims would mean that a member of congress would hive to know about it before they could agree toette s l the case. however, this one did go far enough that he would have been aware. we were told that his chief of staff was in the settlement meetings representing him and he subsequently put out a statement today saying that he was confus ed and that yes, i did settle this. however, he is maintaining his innocence. now, tonight paul ryan, the speaker of the house says in a statement that these questions about connors are quote, extremely troubling. democratic leader nancy pelosi claims she didn't know anything about these settlements. the house ethics committee tonight announcing that they have launched an

students. there are too many suspensions and he thinks all this is hurting more than helping. matt ackland with more on this story tonight. >>reporter: council member david grasso believes there are simply too many suspects. in fact, he told us about 10,000 a year. under this new plan it will greatly reduce the number of suspensions annex pulingses, but already a lot of people are speaking out against t this. let's show you some of the members now. it prohibits suspension annex pulings from pre-k to eight grade unless in cases of physical or emotional harm. high schools can suspend, but under this law not for. that includes shouting profanity at teachers and also incidents that happen off campus. it also limits expulsion for cases that involve physical and emotional injury and order schools to continue educational efforts while the student

franken. new tonight, a veteran police officer from chicago found out his punishment today for shooting into a car filled with black teenagers, a judge sentenced marco per ron oh to five years in prison. he is the first officer in chicago to face job related sentencing in 15 years. he violated the civil

rights of the people when he fired into their vehicle. two of the teens were wounded but they have since recovered from their injuries. while searching for nearly four days police caught the man suspected of killing a rookie police officer outside of chicago. police ar rested 29 year old holt in pittsburgh. he's accused of gun ning down brian shoder at a traffic stop. he was arrested on sunday. at a press conference police say holt fired six shots at officer holts who was wearing a bullet proof vest we're very thankful that he was taken into custody and nobodies else was injured. we're also feeling extensive relief for the city of kensington because i know they've been on high alert and on edge for the past several days. and hopefully this gives them a little bit of relief this is coming to an end. grief counselors will be available to police and personnel and

transition for those hate ands here in the united states to go back home. it's been reported that there are nearly 6,306,000 haitians who received tps here in the united states. as for children of tps recipients. if you had a child here, they are citizens sense, but those parents who are here under tps would be required to leave under this new policy or announcements , if you will, from the administration. now recipients of tps they are allow to apply for other status, though, at this time and during this transition. other immigrant benefits that they may be independently eligible for outside of tps. now the administration they release a statement when this announcement was made, they say that the decision to terminate tps for haiti was made after a review of the conditions upon it with country's original designations were based. now,
