known terror threats or warning out there that folks need to know about >> there's no intelligence as of this moments and, so to speak, this topic. doesn't mean it couldn't change in ten minutes or an hour you sort of check the boxes around the holidays. you do the travel stories how to make your turkey stories and we started talking about safety quite a bit. is this a situation that we're making too much out of precaution or is this something we have to do is be aware? >> i think everything that we are doing is required, especially in late of the incidents that have taken place, not only in europe but our country. the expression is we'd like to er on the side of caution. once an incident happened, we have a problem, there's no get the gene

additional individuals who you don't see, technology that's in place, picking up everything from trace of explosives to radiological material, all of evident is necessary and consistent with the time. >> we're looking at video looking at the stepped up security. are there specific airports or a destinations where there will be heightened secure that travelers need to be aware of >> i think clearly in new york all the major cities are keenly aware of the need to step up security. i would suspect that this increase in presence of security is going to takes place throughout the united states. and some earlier alluded to the fact that there's more visible security at the airports, that is absolutely correct. and kennedy airport, for example, i recently picked up a client, and i observed the new york state police in uniform carrying m 4s, which

edition of an ar 15. so there is an increased presence, it's prevalent. there are bomb dogs more today than before. everything that's being done is necessary. even addressing the thanksgiving day parade. the new york city police, they've come out and said, it's the most security they've dedicated to this event since its end ception. and every bit is necessary because if you lose one life as a result of being remiss or too relaxed or casual. there's no explanation to be given. lou it's good to see you thanks for joining us. obviously you're ready for the holidays. happy thanksgiving and we'll see you soon. >> thank you, guys. happy holiday as well. >> to the stories that dominating the headlines, the avalanche. of sexual misconduct from hollywood to capitol. roy moore's communication director resigned, comes as moore faces

of sexual misconduct including allegations he made advances on teenagers. >> and democrat senator al franken apologized after accusations he groped and forcibly kissed lee january tweeden in 2006. a second accused him of inappropriately touching her during a photo after elected. more bombshell allegations against the longest serving member of the house, john conniers he admitted his office paid out more than $27,000 two years ago to settle a sexual misconduct complaint by a woman who worked in his office. >> and cbs and pbs fired charlie rose after a "washington post" report that eight women accused rose of sexual misconduct over the years. >> and those allegations don't stop in washington. let's bring in marcie dyson, marcie it's great to see you. let me ask you, these allegations now have gone from harvey weinstein to capitol hill, and now to even the sports and entertainment world as we watch this

thoughts on this? >> first of all, i'll use my reverend tile here, when david looked at basheba on the rough top and had her come to him and had her killed, that was sexual assault. if we can go do biblical time, we can understand that men think women a born with a birth mark for entertainment and your liftful purposes only. that is not the case. i think men who take advantage of their gender power and women also depending on their positions in certain places of sexual harassment, but prominently it is men in these power positions, who have exploited well, and have made them feel bed about themselves. but i think we have to look at the socialization. i think men are victims of patriot ikea as much as women, you feel you can
6:36 pm
and steal a woman's body but of a on a word for you and that is we are for the born for your entertainment purposes only, what i will call for when we're looking at thanksgiving is similar to what i had to say to ministers when i looked at a predictment in the black church and that was when ministers thought that they had sexual propriety over their congregation which was mostly female women in black churn. if look at every other male and i mean shocked and alarmed at some men who have been accused. i know some personally especially on the hill and in the media that we need a day of atonement. you should step up, speak out. seek help. definitely apologize to the women to whom you have offended. and let us use this time of thanksgiving to we're not thankful to the approach towards us. >> marcie we heard f

about roy moore. he went on to talk about all the other harassment a claims and this is what the president had to say. >> he totally denies it. he said it didn't happen. you have to listen to both. he said 40 years ago. this did not happen. >> are you going to campaign for him for roy moore >> letting you know next week. women are very special. i think it's a very special team because a lot of things that are coming out and i think that should -- society i think it's very good for women. >> so look, we've talked about a lot of the accusations out there. we have to say the president himself was the subject of a lot of these accusations. he in turn, said, basically that these accusers were lying. when you have that sense you don't let people air their grievances and let these accusations play out. it does a bit of a disservice from both sides. >> i think you're absolutely right.
6:38 pm
particular time, again spoke two sides out of his mouth, one to say that, you know, women should be treated fairly, i love women. but at the second time, maybe that they're lying. something that happened 40 years ago, when there's scarring, sexually, physically or emotionally or spiritual, that's somebody scarring and to wipe it off as if it's just a band-aid infraction upon a woman's life is not a good thing to say. and i think that the with them he did say should come out and so i'm hoping they do come out. but mostly i hope that the men come out and realize that they have a problem with gender politics and body politics and again, as i say, the women are not born for your entertainment purposes only. we are created equally. i believe that. and men need to address that issue especially in the workplace. in the sanctuary in sports arenas and everywhere else, where they think that they can rule other women's body or make a woman feel nor

advance or whatever that might be, might be their midas touches not that. it's tarnished >> you're calling for day of atonement. do you think that along with that day of atonement or before that day of atonement. we know that rules on capitol hill protect lawmakers who have done these things. they're shielded. do you think these lawmakers need to be named and do you think the ones who have been named should resign >> it's up to the -- i think there's certain rules and regulations as to whether or not they she don't have the. but this is a time when the women need to come forth and ask the meant to be better, to atone, to make the confessions and let the women on the hill. let's start on the hill and triinkle. both republican and democratic women have had that experience know someone that has been

someone, let's see what light shines there, from a minute steerial point of view, we need to atone for it, men, your bad behavioral is not acceptable. and we're watching you >> it is always great to have you on the show. happy thanksgiving to you. >> same to you. she made history as the first transgender candidate elected to a seat. back after this. back after this.

6:44 pm
there to deal with the traffic jobs, healthcare and schools and every other issue that's important, that is different a story >> the communications director for the majority leader shared a statement with us that read, in part, the gentle lady and the gentleman terminology is outdated and that referring to everything as delegate is more timely and appropriate. well, he also said that majority leader cox was considering this change well before the election. now, worth noting the virginia state senate, they already have a similar policy in place, which removes gender from titles. members are simply called senator from the district that they represent. what's your take on the policy change? hey in, we love to hear from you, especially on 5@630. back to you, jim and sarah >> thank you from the reporter in the studio. ronica. thank you much. president trump is up early this morning taking shots on twitter reigniting that feud with lavar ball. he tweeted this, it wasn't the white house. it wasn't the state department. it wasn't father lavar's so-called people on ground in china that got us out

long-term prison sentence, it was me, too bad, lavar is a poor man's version of don king without the hair. then again -- never mind. he followed up by saying think lavar you could have spent the next five to ten years during thanksgiving with your son in china but no nba contract to support you but remember, shoplifting is not a little thing it's a big deal especially in china ungrateful fool. lee angelo ball and two of his aclu team mates were left while the president was visiting. the three have since been suspended. >> i want to tell you what. it amazes me every day, it should not -- you're the president. >> now, let's put it this way. >> but lavar ball, why -- what was the incentive for him to say -- who? look. let it go. it's over and done with. his son broke the law in a foreign country. >> absolutely. >> and yes, it's harshly punished there. >> i just, but you're right. then, >> it's beneath the >> they're two grown men. >> i agree but i think he's a

professor at the georgetown school of business here talk about that. this is sort of it used to be like the super bowl of shopping leading up to black friday but the name, it doesn't mean anything any more seems >> it's no longer a day. first of all, black friday starts weeks in advancement start seeing the sales online and then goes on after friday is over. so it's gone from black friday to black friday weekend to the week and it's kind of black friday month. >> and let me ask you, because we talk about that, i started getting e-mails from stores yesterday or the day before saying their black friday deals were on, and those are mostly unlined storms i'm talking about does this mean brick and morter is dead and dying >> it's holding on, it's struggling, but i don't think the brick and mortar will ever go away completely. you have your die hard shoppers for whom shopping is entertainment, social. at sport, it's all of the above. i think that there are those people who plan

holiday. it's the day after thanksgiving or now thanksgiving evening. you bundle up, you go stand in line. you sleep overnight. you're there for the early morning door buzzes and you get those deals and there's the thrill of being there and you can touch and feel and the instant gratification of being able to take your package home >> the day of >> exactly >> we mentioned off the top about the president saying buy american. there's a big buy local movement. small business saturday which comes up on saturday. talk about that just a little bit. how important it is for people to still consider your local options when you you're shopping >> i think there's an increasing emphasize or recognition of buying local and supporting your local economy. we've seen a bit of a backlash from consumers, first the big boxes came in and then there's amazon, so you don't really know exactly where your product is coming from. there is value in a lot of the mom and pop stores that didn't quite survive and the ones still there. so i think there's
6:51 pm
has taken off not just in food, in the, in the restaurants, also in retail and production >> we've been talking about brick and importer on line i commerce, how does that compare to black friday >> well, it's, gaining on. basically. it's, black friday is still the largest shopping day but cyber monday is definitely encroaching and a lot of the shopping that's counted on black friday is online as well. but i think this is the first year that consumers more consumers are predicting they will shop online as opposed to in brick and mortar, acyber monday hurts black friday in that people aren't going to spend every dime on friday. they kind of want to wait to see what's going to be there cyber monday. >> amazon prime is hooked me. it
