this thanksgiving holiday special. just saw a bit of, obviously, "stranger things" season 2 in that clip. so, if you're gonna forget the shopping, you're gonna forget the crowd, you might just want to stay in for the weekend and relax with your family, with your computer, watch television. what's the best thing to stream right now? so, obviously, i do have to mention the ultimate thanksgiving film. while not for kids, it is one of the funniest movies of all time -- "planes, trains & automobiles." john candy, steve martin, directed by john hughes, the film. this scene i was just watching before we did this segment, it just makes me laugh every single time. you can stream and rent the film on multiple platforms, including amazon and itunes. and the best thing to do, in my opinion, is go into google, type in the movie, and type where to stream. those are the best options for streaming that particular film. and again, one of the funniest movies of all time, a timeless classic. john candy -- every movie he did, including "uncle buck," always made me laugh.

so those are my favorites of those. now, moving on, let's talk about netflix here. so, netflix obviously is a very convenient way to watch your show. "the punisher" is a brand-new show streaming on netflix right now -- 13 total episodes. this is marvel studios. this is in the same universe as the past marvel shows, like "luke cage," as well as "daredevil" and "jessica jones." essentially, netflix is building out this entire universe. and the show stars jon bernthal. his family is murdered, and he goes on a mission of revenge and to fight crime. not for kids. just a warning there. this is a very violent show. but it is streaming on netflix. and some of these shows really are becoming better than the films we're seeing in theaters. so, that particular show, if you want to read my full review on that, you can go to my twitter, which is kevinmccarthytv. you can always tweet me any questions there, as well. moving on to "stranger things," season 2. yes, it's been out for a couple weeks now. but it is awesome, and it's worth mentioning. if you haven't seen it yet, highly recommend this. here's the thing -- me

get a little afraid they're too far behind on certain shows. watch the first season, and then watch this season. you will see why it's so great. it's a nostalgia work. it's scary, it's intense. this particular season, though, in my opinion, found its own voice. the show kind of became its own. the first season was very heavily reliant on nostalgia, which is great. but this particular season is scarier, it's more mature. the characters are dealing with a lot more intensity, in my opinion. it is a phenomenal season, and i do recommend it. i personally like it better than season 1. i didn't think season 1 had such a special place in people's hearts because of the nostalgia quality to it. but everybody's great. and millie bobby brown, who plays eleven, what a performance. and noah schnapp, who plays will, what a performance, as well. some of the best performances i've seen on tv in a long time. and of course, winona ryder is amazing. next up is "mindhunter." this show took me by such a surprise. david fincher actually directed four of these episodes. fincher, you probably know most from "fight club" and "se7en" and "t

"the social network." this particular show is based on a true story. it took place in the '70s at the fbi as they were interviewing serial killers. now, at the time, they were just called sequence killers. the term "serial killer" was actually noted in this particular show. jonathan groff stars in the show. it is an incredibly well-made, well-shot show that i do highly recommend. all right, so, looking for other things on netflix that might be more for the family. "beauty and the beast," the live-action film, is now available on netflix, "forrest gump." pg-13, but maybe not for the young kids, but definitely a great movie streaming on netflix, as well. one of my favorites, "good burger," if you haven't seen that, it was the nickelodeon-based characters from back in the day. and then, obviously, "moana," which is the rock and lin-manuel miranda -- great movie, as well. those are all streaming right now on netflix. so, let's get to the big stars. what does superman think of the new "justice league" film? did you know that two a-list stars have no problem crying on-screen and off-screen? and

mustache story. essentially, what happened was, they had to do reshoots for the movie, and henry cavill was already filming a new movie, called "mission: impossible 6." reportedly, he was not able to shave the mustache for the "justice league" reshoot, so he had to do his superman scenes with the full mustache, which they had to digitally remove. it's kind of a crazy story how they pulled that off.
