city south of shanghai in the eastern part of the country. we're told the blast has caused a number of injuries and some damage >> witnesses say the explosion blew out windows and damaged a number of buildings and cars parked on the street. people were seen running from the area. so far no word on what caused the explosion. now to a fox 5 exclusive. man caught on camera trying to break into a home in northwest dc. this as a teenager was home alone inside. >> it happened on east capitol street this afternoon, fox 5 evan lambert better reports >> a 16-year-old boy inside that home called 911 as they were breaking in. he said it took police more than 30 minutes to get there. take a look at this video. eventually those suspects just gave up and left. you can see two men walking up the stares at a home along east capitol street northeast. that he is is about 2:00 this afte

broke out at a high-rise apartment in silver springs. happened at the clave okly drive. the family got out and alerted authorities. building was partially evacuated. no one was hurt. investigators say an electrical problem caused the smokey fire. we're told more than 20 people can't return to the units because of the smoke damage. the red cross is assisting. to anne arundel county. where a man isn't custody charged with attempting to rob a bank in annapolis. they arrested a man from annapolis. he was arrested out incident, he walked into a bank of america, presented a teller with a note and demanded money. the employees got out of harm's way and called police. by the time officers arrived, he was gone.
