doctor. >> they employed a man who said to be dr. charles j. acoda and he use aid complex and sophisticated identity theft scheme. the hospital maintains they completed a dill get and thorough background check this man who practiced at their facility. however, exactly a week ago, a class action lawsuit was filed in federal court by ten anonymous women coming forward claiming this man right here, allegedly falsified the majority if not all of his medical degrees, documentation and identity allowing him to practice medicines a gynecologist at prince george hospital center for a total of 8 years from 20 08 to 2016 as resident and, doctor. tonight one of the women whose baby was delivered by this man came forward. he has messed up my health afterwards. thought the entire time, i put trust in him to. find out he's a fake i'm apaled

"fox5" korey kaufman is live outside the high school tonight with more on the st story, korey. >> many parents tell me they moved out to this community specifically for the high school. it did get a new science center multi-million dollar science center in fact recently. but the main part of the building is certainly in disrepair. you can see some of the issues just on the outside of this building. but, really, it's the inside that has the worst shape. let's take you inside. because it was built in 195 parents say narrow halls creates fire hazards and students in one classroom have to go through to the get out and stairs like this most of the building is not ada compliant and missing ceiling tile from leaky voovz a common site and patchwork of electrical fixes and exposed wiring. there are holes in walls and peeling paint vrp the school was on track for fixs in 2014. but that got pushed back to 2023. now the school district has sell ofed the

now to a story you'll see first here on "fox5". within the last two weeks two residents in montgomery county fell for the so-called grand parent scam. they both lost $5,000. joyce thomas was one of those. someone calling that was her grandson said he needed help and was in an accident and someone was hurt and locked up and needed $5,000 to get out of jail.

within a few hours she realized she was scammed after calling her grandson's cell phone. >> he answered the phone and now i'm like, where are you? you know? what happened? where are you? >> he said what do you mean. i said somebody called and said you were in jail. and he said oh, no. he said, that was a scam. he says i'm in church. >> police were able to trace the account miss thomas sent the money to and had it frozen but it maying a challenge to get money back. >> what a mess. >> all right. heads up if you are booked to fly american airlines over the christmas holidays a glitch in the scheduling system gave pilots days off and airline is scrambling to fix what could affect more than 15,000 flights. christmas. of course the holiday surprise is the buzzest and peak time when it comes to air travel. tonight i spoke with several experts who say there's already a pilot shortage. it's not like there's a bunch wait around to be pulled off the bench. >> i'm hearing that the airline wants to use reserved pilot an union is objecting saying it violates the their contract. >> estimated 15,000 american airline flights scheduled between december 17 and 31 have no pilots sketched to fly them. and it's all due it a glitch in the system that bids the pilots time off based on seniority. american is offering to pay timeen a half to nin any pilot that agrees to pick up open trips during that time. the airline says it's working diligently to avoid any flight cancellations over the holiday season but travelers, especially those who purchased non refundable tickets have been set into a tail spin. expert say if

the ticket holders and you have to fly, the only real plan b is drastic. you can buy another ticket for a flight scheduled a few hours after your american flight. if american is able to get you where you need to go, you can then cancel your backup flight at the last minute. but it may be expensive back up plan and you must do your home twork pull it off. >> well southwest doesn't really have a penalty for canceling. you can use their -- that ticket then on another flight up to a year. but all the other airlines have change fees that pretty much eat up whatever you would pay unless you get what's called refundable ticket. >> refundable tickets are expensive that would be a multi-thousand and dollar investment in order to make that happen. but, if you really can into the ford not to lose the money on that bigru

that you purchased already, that's pretty much the only way to go right now. >> you need to make sure you're able to cancel that refundable ticket within just a few hours. and as far as travel insurance it may be too late to get it right now. since this is already a known situation. but if you had it already, definitely check to see if there's any way that can help you out. and really the hope is that with all the media pressure and all the attention it's getting and extra cash, maybe a lot of those pilots will pull through and step up to help. also, that maybe american will start offering some refunds if necessary. you have to imagine some of these pilots already have holiday plans of their own. that's the latest at reagan national back to you in the studio. >> let's hope they get worked out. that's a lot of flight. >> they better make it right. >> look that a festive celebration underway at yards park. >> for the next month visitors can wander through interactive

>> all of the details outlined in the lawsuit. we brought you the story first back in may with five women. now sixth woman came forward and says after she was raped out here on howard university campus she felt like she was not getting the help she asked for. and was living on campus in fear. and now the lawsuit that she filed was filed on november 27. the woman joined five others in a same lawsuit and claim the university was slow to resolve claims of sexual assault. the latest claim says the student was raped by assailant in april of 2016 in dorm and the victim says she went to school officials and was told the investigation would take three months. contrary to the school policy of 60 days. coordinator handling her case said "i wish you wouldn't have wait aid week to report, because we only have a few days left of school to vest. " now throughout the process theic

the victim says she was mentally impacted. seeing accuser on campus and was not given time to make up assignments during the whole ordeal. when the classes resumed in the fall the accused with assigned to her dormitory. april of 2017 she was told by dean the same allegeded rapist had raped another student and the school was reon eping her case saying "don't worry, we're going to get on it. we're going to move fast. we're going to nip this in the bud" now more than 360 days since originally filing her complaint her case remains unsolved. we reached out to howard university and they said the university has been and remains xhipted to diligently investigations any leltions to ensure a safe and helmy community for tackty, staff and students. as i matter of practice we do not comment on title nine cases, allegations or end w withing litigation. and now i spoke with the attorney for all six of the women and she tells me at
