apartments. you can see this is a pretty big investigation going on. multiple fire trucks. we also have multiple officers from mpd and arson investigators as well, that is because according to a source. a man found in a unit on fire, was bound and beaten. that fire breaking out around 6 6:30. the man in critical condition. luckily firefighters were able to get to him so quickly they say and keep the fire from spreading to other units. here is dc fire spokes man vito, >> first arriving unit forced entry, as they were searching the apartment, they came upon an adult male victim, they were able to get the victim outside into an ambulance, and taken to the hospital, where the individual is currently in critical condition. >> reporter: again, because of the

25-year-old luke lloyd and michael d e is charged with possession of marijuana. they suspended both teachers and a third is being investigated but was not arrested. however, that teacher is on administrative leave. friday, parents received a letter sent home what happened, quote. we believe the investigation is only focused on the adults and does not involve any of their interactions with our children. now, we're being told that the teachers that were arrested have been released from jail. also, arlington school counselors will be on hand. they will be speaking with the students about why these teachers were let out in handcuffs right at the school. we're told the counsellors will be explaining what happened in age appropriate manner. live tonight in arlington, ma marina, fox 5 local

resigned following the bombshell report. it showed many of the students in the school's 2017 graduating class should have been held back. more than half of the class missed more than six weeks of school. dc public schools reassigned after attending to another function in the district. and willie jackson the current principal in northeast will serve as acting principal at balu. amtrak want to talk about an assault that happened at union station last tuesday. police say the man on left committed the assault while the man on right is considered a person of interest in the attack. as we reported exclusively last week, a woman suffered serious injuries in that assault. she said she was on an escalator when a man punched her in the face. the woman was knocked to the ground, bleeding and her eye swollen shut. would not told us she wants her attacker caught. dc police are investigating a violent

metrobus in northwest. it happened near first and h street this afternoon, police say the fight happened between two female passengers, at some point, one of them was cut on the arm. the victim was treated at a hospital and is expected to recover. police arrested the other passenger in the fight. new video today of the group believed to be behind the string of robberies targeting construction workers in the district. they robbed several workers of their wallet and cell phone, it happened last wednesday in southeast. they're urging homeowners and workers to be vigilant and to keep cell phones out of sight. if you see something suspicious, call police. a fourth man accused in the murder of two high school students from montgomery county appeared in court today. they were both found shot to death inside a car in montgomery village in june. police say the teens were killed the night before set to graduate from northwest high school. prosecutors have already

high pressure natural gas line burst on campus, it took about 45 firefighters and a hazmat team to evaluate the situation, took them about an hour to control. no one was hurt. new tonight. a very special delivery just in time for the holidays. a baby girl couldn't wait to see her new family she showed up early and the paramedic who helped deliver her has a special story. cori coffin is live in prince george's county with an amazing connection between the two. cori. >> reporter: daniel has been a firefighter for 20 years nearly. he grew up in this area and he's been a paramedic for ten of those years. now, tonight, it was an interesting call. sort of normal story about a baby being born. an mom needing help. but take a listen. >> we had a pretty good inkling it was going to

we were hoping to get her out of the apartment and down the steps. we got about halfway down the steps when she stopped and started to push. so we gently reminded her that we really need to get to the ambulance or sterile environment than the share well. we were able to get her to the ambulance on to the stretcher and we could see the top of the baby's head. that meant that the baby was not going to wait >> daniel happened to be the one in the position to help deliver. the miracle of life. but that's not the only amazing thing to happen today. daniel's parents showed up as we were talking to him. they were here to surprise him with cake, because today is his birthday too. >> we heard it was your birthday >> >> yes, but that's not all. guess how daniel himself came into this world 42 years ago?
