>> reporter: this power outage has had a ripple effect on all airports across the country be including here at reagan national and dulles. but before i go into details about how it's impacted us, i want to show you video and point out what other passengers were doing at the time of that power outage in atlanta and how they spent their time in a blackout. check it out. >> you know me. when you're not and i'll be your friend. ♪ ♪. ♪ ♪. i help you carry on. >>reporter: yep, you heard their words, lay on each other, singing with each other and having a little faith that that power would eventually come back on. again, good news, the power set to be restored by midnight over at the atlanta international airport. you can see in that video that they were clearly sitting in a

really questioning. i do want to point outlet over on the board how it's affect us at reagan national. you can see all cancelations, the arrival side, so the arriving flights coming from atlanta, those are all of those cancelled flights today. now, we learned, didn't do any math here as far as the arriving flights coming in. but we learned as far as the departures, there were about 20 scheduled departures either cancelled delayed or diverted right here at reagan national and dulles as well. so again, this is what it's looking like here, and again, un, like i mentioned there are cancelations in place, a friend was at the airport and told me she had her flight cancelled as well. now she will be having to board tomorrow evening. that's what's looking like here, we'll continue to monitor the situation and let you know if anything changes. searching it back to you. checking our top stors,

searching for a second suspect in a string of crimes. police say it began around 10:00 when two men robbed a verizon store in the 6100 block of little river turnpike in alexandria. the suspects forced philadelphia police a back room and stole dozens of cell phones, the employees were not injured. police later spotted men trying to get a car and a short pursuit ensued before the suspects crash i do not a car. police arrested one of the suspects but still looking for one who ran away. investigators believe he ran into a nearby shopping center and stole is a minivan from a woman leaving work. she was not injured but the van, 2006 sienna still missing new details about a crash in rockville that killed a me ped driver at rockville pike and congressional lane. me ped driver was heading south on rockville pike when a car crashed into him. the driver ran from the scene, officers did catch up

and say that he was driving under the influence. he later died at the hospital. >> in the district a woman charged with stabbing a man in his apartment this happened overnight. the victim told police the woman was in his apartment and stabbed him in the stomach. a short time later they spotted the suspect angela blair. she was arrested. police say they found evidence of pcp near blair and charged her with drug possession a fire swept through a townhouse overnight. firefighters tell us the fire sparked on the second floor the cause, however, still under investigation. we're told one person was taken from the scene to the hospital to get checked out. in prince george's county, a search is underway for a missing 14-year-old girl. police say she did leave voluntarily. barbara was last seen at school on tuesday in new carlton, her family said she normally ride as bus to an after school program but never

she has been missing ever since. earlier, her family and friends handed out flyers at a shopping center in east riverdale. if you know anything about where she is, you're asked to call prince george's county police. christmas just a week away tonight a maryland man is pleading for help after someone stole his car filled with christmas gifts. this happeniest in the busy parking lot at prince george's county plaza in hyattsville. evan lambert is live where the car was stolen. how did it play out? . >> reporter: marina, the man lost his keys inside on the mall here. he thinks someone found them and came out to the parking lot and tried a bunch of alarms until they found the mercedes he had just gotten, he was parked near the out back. when he came, his car was gone. steven hawkins gave us these photos, at 2009 white mercedes. he saved up nor a year to buy it. he only had

was doing christmas shopping saturday at prince george's county plaza, run around to different stores and had hundreds of dollars of gifts for his children inside. hawkins said he realized inside the mall his keys were missing. when he came out, his car was gone. thanks to someone or a group of people to steal someone else's joy that he is holiday season. >> i try to really, really try to do right by my kids. my son, especially my 13-year-old son. he's here and my daughters aren't. i ain't going to say i let him down. i'll still give him something. but it's not what he really wants and this is christmas my car with him every day, that's how i get to him. without that, how am i put going to go see my kids and travel home? i really can't say i just want them to bring my car back.

developing tonight in the middle east at least nine people dead and dozens others hurt after twin suicide bombers attacked a chris then church in pakistan. isis is claiming responsibility for the attack. hundreds of people were inside the church when gunmen wearing explosive vests entered. police shot and killed one of the suicide bombers. the other then set off his vest. the church had previously been placed on alert for a possible attack. isis is known for fargo christians this time of year. it was day of remembrance in north korea as people marked the sixth anniversary of
