scott and buckley fricker killed yesterday morning. according to a source, the 17-year-old boyfriend of the fricker's 16-year-old daughter somehow got into the house on blackford court yesterday morning, the parents confronted him and he shot them both before turning the gun on himself. the source said the parents had just this week tried to get their daughter to break up with the teen they believed to have neo nazi tendencies. police are still working to confirm the connections. police telling us that four other people were home at the time of the shooting. but they were not injured. this evening neighbors started showing up at the house where the crime happened. they put down flowers. neighbors who knew them tell us they were a wonderful couple. >> they seemed like people we would like to know better, and and now

the scene, the gunman fled into the woods, but officers say he eventually surrender the. in prince george's county a lot of unanswered questions. police were called to st. phillip's road in aquasco around 10:00 last night. when they arrived, the girl was already dead. investigators say she suffered a gunshot wound to the upper part of her body. police are trying to determine what led to the shooting and who is responsible. also new tonight, a federal judge in seattle has partially lifted the trump administration's travel ban on certain refugees. judge james row barrett ordered the government to process certain refuge applications. the certain civil liberties and jewish say they prevent he did people from reuniting with family living legally in the united states. the aclu argued the ban is causing irreparable harm.

and today he lost his job. a fire damaged three homes in the district on 21 it's southeastward around 4:00 this morning, the heat waso so intense caused an adjacent home to catch fire. helped limit some damage but a they did home sustained damage from the fire overall, nine people are now homeless and must find another place to stay. still no word on what caused the fire in adam morgan. firefighters tried to battle the fire by opening up the roof, but it became unstable. they didn't had to quickly leave the building. they continued to fight the fire from the outside and eventually got out. no one was hurt. firefighters in prince george's county are spreading some hope for the holidays. several families who were displaced in the devastating apartment fire earlier in silver hill were given gifts by the

of killing them. sources tell fox 5 the teen was dating the couple of 16-year-old daughter. we're told they somehow got inside the home friday morning when the couple confronted him. he shot them. he then turned the gun on himself. he remains in the hospital. sources tell us that the victims tried to get their daughter to break up with the boy who they believed had neo nazi beliefs. police not confirmed those allegations prince george's county police are still trying to figure out why a young girl was shot and killed last night on st. phillip's road in aquasco. when officers arrived, the girl was dead. investigators say she suffered a gunshot wound to the upper part of her body. police are investigating what led to the shooting. fairfax county police need your help in identifying three people wanted in connection with several thefts from cars. since this morning, officers responded to nearly 20 such cases. in one case, the car that was hit was actually stolen. police say in at least two

it appears the suspects entered the home to get the keys to the cars and then broke into them. a man is facing charges of reckless driving after police say he crashed his vehicle into the side of a mcdonald's restaurants. this crash happened this morning in mclean, police tape was visible near the site, we're told no one was hurt in this crash. inspectors will examine the restaurant to make sure it's structurally sound taking a live look outside, looks like the beltway, maybe the wilson bridge. >> mistake this is a good timing, maybe traffic is light. >> nice and late at night. after 10:00 p.m. >> hoping the airports tomorrow are quiet but i don't think i think a lot of people are leaving. >> you got a flight out >> fingers crossed. what about the weather? if you're driving tomorrow or you're doing last minute shopping >> if you'll be out and about within our area, it's not going to be too bad.

we'll have rain starting to move in the early evening hours, keep that in mind. most of the wet weather tonight moved off to the northeast, some of it turning into isn't wintery mix, so to speak, so let's get to it. because a lot of you do have to do traveling tomorrow. a lot of you will be sticking around but tonight we've got partly cloudy skies. that wet weather has finally moved out off to the northeast. just partly cloudy but boy are we talking about winds. it's been gusty today and gusty again tonight. sunday starts plenty of sunshine as i mentioned but then rain into the early evening, arctic air ask on the way. get ready to bundle up. we're talking a cold christmas eve and cold christmas with significant windchills. snow showers and the overnight hours are a slight possibility. rain moved and it was not a total wash-out.

but it's now moved way to the northeast and we're getting breaks behind it and we'll see that continuing tonight into tomorrow. temperatures is the next part of the story, look at the highs for today, are we really this close to christmas? it doesn't seem like i seems like we're heading into spring. 65 degrees at reagan national airport for a high. temperatures, some 20 degrees above the seasonal average. we should only be in the mid 40's, i hope you enjoy the mild weather, it's coming to an abrupt end as the air mass from the arctic starts to move in. 44 at gaithersburg, 48 at baltimore, 41 at winchester and 45 at culpeper. winds are finally improving somewhat. 16 to 24 miles per hour wind gusts right now across our area. but the difference is the direction. earlier today, we had a pretty strong southerly flow, that's what boosted our temperature. now those wind have shifted with a frontal system moving through and

brings us a lot of cooler air. we're actually going to start to see colder air behind a frontal system once we get through tomorrow. so that cold air here that you see will start to move its way across the midatlantic. if you take a look everybody is in the 40's and 30's, we're still in the warm sector here, but the colder air is squeezing that warmer air out. also looking at a chance of a little bit of wintery mix in the christmas eve hours, might linger a little bit. predawn for christmas day, you might see a flying flake or two, nothing will accumulate. we're not talking a white christmas, but we're talking cold. as far as the west, if you're heading this way, mineral grant, allegheny, there's a winter weather advisory 7:00 p.m. sunday to monday could see two to four inches of snowfall, christmas day 39 degrees, cold, windy, windchills will make the feel like it's only in the 20's.

details, what's going on >> as you know we've been working the story past nine months, a little over a month ago we received an anonymous e-mails essentially saying that cat arena, the daughter has a restraining a order against her grandfather that's been in effect since september 21 it's of 2017, and it's in effect for one year against her grandfather, and so we have been working this and turns out this is true. it was filed in dc. whole process started in august. this episode takes a look at that cpo, which is a civil protective order, or restraining order. and takes a deeper look at some of the things in that. >> has the relationship been strained from what you've observed? what's the dynamic there >> well, you know, we're -- we're hearing a lot of things. behind the scenes that again, obviously, we work on fact. so we're not reporting those things

but i would certainly say there's definitely a lot going on. the grandfather phillip savopoulos has been ordered to stay away, no contact. cannot see her, no text, nothing. so there's clearly a lot going on. and top criminal defense attorney bernie grim is on this podcast does a fantastic job of breaking down what this means and it's also telling that there was not a police report filed, and bernie grim gives some examples of why there wouldn't be a police report filed. >> can you give us an example? if you don't file a police report, what's it mean >> bernie explains to us in the podcast. if you file a sexual assault, for example, after you file in dc in the district of columbia you can't take it back. once it's in motion, it's in motion and and they're going all the way. even if a month or two in, i want to and you go i want to take back these charges too bad, they're taking it to a
