prompted a wind advisory to be in effect that kicks in at 3 p.m. until 2 p.m. tomorrow. winds will be gusting anywhere from 20 miles plus. it's going to feel christmas day like it's only in the 20s. your seven day forecast a little later. now to that developing story out of loudon county, two veer sheriff deputies are recovering after being shot. a suspect p is in cuss disivment i was a male and female deputy who were shot. the loudon county sheriff says they're in the hospital now in good spirits despite the circumstances. evan lambert outside of reston. >>reporter: you can see the sheriff's deputies vehicles here right out in front of the hospital. what we do know from the sheriff that the deputies got a call to the home in sterling around four this afternoon. they were on scene for about an hour trying to did he escalate a domestic situation

grabbed a gun and shot those deputies in a struggle. sheriff mike chap man says that call in around four. i was a domestic incident. they got to a home on shallow mountain place. they were on scene trying to calm dwown a man who was involved in an argument with his 19 year old daughter. at that point the man went upstairs acknowledge state take ited. the authorities thought he might be going for a weapon and he did. he reached for a gun. almost simultaneously he was tazed. as he was being apprehended he managed to get several shots off , hit two of our deputies. i received a page at the time that i was at church service when this came out christmas service and i'm just greatful that all things being considered that it's turned out as good as it has. it could have been certainly been a lot

virginia, no word on what caused this garage fire in fairfax county. the fire broke out early yesterday morning at a home on cedar wood whrain. you can see flames shooting from the garage. when firefighters arrived they quickly got the fire out. they were able to contain the fire and the flames luckily did not spread to any of the surrounding homes. no one was injured. this is certainly not the kind of christmas steve me nuch and expected to gift. a gift wrapped box containing horse manure was dropped off yesterday. the la bomb squad was called in when the package addressed to new new and ended up at the neighbor's house. it was gift wrapped saying from the american people. secret service is now investigating the incident. also new tonight senator jeff flake said president trump could see a republican or independent challenger in 2020. the independent

a virginia woman and her family serve as the local leg for a small florida-based charity called believe with me. they received a last minute call from a d.c. mother. her husband pass ed away recently after serving oversees so they showed up on her door step and showered the family with gifts. fox5's lauren demarco has the story. we're here to surprise you. one local family stepped up in a hunl way to help another who they had never met before. we're here to give you christmas . hi sweat girl. hi. christina quol instance and her children worked with a florida- based charity called believe with me to give the gift

movie reviews of the year. let's start off with justice department man ji. it's a a situate quell. the film does pay homage to robin williams to the first film. it was one of my favorite movies of all time. the new film starring david johnson is completely a different take on the story that exists in the same universe which is why it serves more as a sue quell to that because they refer back to robin williams' character. it starts out with 14 kairkt issues in detention with the game justice department man ji. the fourteen agers get sucked into the game and become the characters they were playing within the game. this creates a lot of character considering jack black's character is actually a teenage girl mpt the chemistry is great and the concept is very clever especially if you're a video game fan. the rock is fantastic in the role and

great as well. the week weak's performance was quef in heart. it definitely is entertaining and something worth seeing in theaters. i gave it a 3.5 out of five worth seeing. next up is steven spiel ^berg's movie is the post which tells the timely and true story publishing the pentagon papers in the early '70 s. they were absolutely fan tag particular in this film. they began shooting this movie at the end of end of may and it's now coming out. it's incredible the timeliness of the film as well as how he did his signature quality in that short of time. it was shot on 35- millimeter film and balances out where you even find yourself wondering what's going to happen in the end even though you already know that the washington post published these papers. that is the key to a great story material. you get so suspended in disbelief you forget what you already know about the story.

movie a 4.5 out of five. one of the best and most important film out of 2017. next up, huh jackson, this is the film about pt barn up. the music is better than the if i am many overall. the music and the soundtrack i found to be a better quality element than the movie itself. the film is one of the best soundtrack in years. awful the performances are amazing. i just felt the film's pacing was off and way too rushed in the beginning and i didn't find myself focused on a particular story line. the lip sing for the songs pulled me out at times . i gave it a three out of five. saw pitch perfect three. i liked it but didn't love it. the first one is still the best but i especially joyed spending time with these characters again . the third film i thought was a little bit unnecessary. if you want to spend time with these characters you'll find it to be a decent film just not a great if i a
