troopers are continuing their investigation. joel: a murder suspect charged with shooting a father and son this week in cumberland county appears in court. he is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of henry porter. his son survive monday night shooting. he was able to walk out of court after his first appearance after turning himself in and posting a $25,000 unsecured bond. were also following breaking news out of greeneville, south carolina, a police officer has been shot there. according to the police chief, the suspect shot the officer multiple times before taking his own life. the shooting happened as the officer was attempting to serve an arrest warrant. it had ties to a local gang. police are still on the scene and the officer's name has not

after authorities say he attempted to carjack a woman in her driveway this morning. the woman managed to locker doors and driveway. she drove down the street to her daughter school bus stop where she got on the bus, asking for help. a swat team that was training nearby helped deputies catch the suspect an hour later. the man did not have a gun at the time of his arrest but authorities did find a weapon nearby. >> police are investigating a fire inside a bathroom at a charlotte elementary school. it started around 9:00 at walter byers elementary school. officials say a liquid was thrown on the floor and caught fire. the school was evacuated because of safety concerns. the school closed early. no one was hurt. joel: a man was injured when a car plowed into the waiting room of a medical center. the 59 or rolled roanoke rapids man died yesterday afternoon
