this woman is now facing charges for shooting her father. should he led to an hours long standoff. she has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. police were called to an apartment complex. her father showed up and there was a struggle between him and the woman and he was shot. when police got there, the woman barricaded herself in the apartment. neighbors heard all of the commotion. >> my dog was upset and i thought she just had to go out, and i was walking her and then i knew something had happened. andrea: christopher was taken to the hospital. his condition is not known right now. his daughter could face more than five years in prison if convicted. we are learning more about it

the man killed his wife before turning the gun on himself. officers responded to a welfare check and found the two people dead inside. fayetteville ended with one man dead. all of the people worked together at goodyear and police found one man's body in the may month of 2010. police initially charged hernandez but the case was dismissed for lack of evidence. eventually police obtained enough evidence to charge both hernandez and the nice green with murder. and a woman showed up at a hospital after drinking something that may have had chemicals in it and when police went to her home, they found

no charges have been filed yet. two americans are among many people killed in a suicide bombing in turkey. dozens were also hurt after a car bomb went off. no one immediately claimed responsibility. this bombing came just days after a deadly bombing in the capital city. a separatist group claimed responsibility for that attack. the u.s. service member was killed by enemy fire in iraq. the american marine was killed outside of isis-controlled mosul. his name has not been released. the apparent mastermind of the paris terrorist attack said that he drove the other attackers to his location and then abandoned his suicide vest. he was supposed to go to the soccer stadium. he was arrested yesterday in a

he has been on the run since the attacks that killed 130 people. one day after people rallied in support of a durham teenager, he is learning he will be deported. immigration and customs officials will not stop the deportation of the 19-year-old. he was picked up in january on his way to riverside high school and is being detained in georgia right now. he is going to be sent back to honduras tomorrow. butterfield released a statement saying that he was disappointed in the director's decision and urged her to reconsider. any choice -- chance of appeal will not happen until monday.

white house as now the primaries are just three days away. andrea: the mayors of raleigh and durham put on their masks tonight to help children get an education. they raised money to go to black colleges and universities. more than 500 civic and education leaders were there. our very own joel brown was the master of ceremony. the people at the ball said it was a fun evening out, but it was more about ensuring equality education. >> i am a graduate and i know the value of having opportunity

but the family of the victim said that their own investigators contradict the raleigh pd accounts of the situation. it was found on the corner of the street where this new bullet hole was found. the da says she expects the fbi report on the shooting to be wrapped up next week. a hit and run in north county leaves a triad man dead. the 24-year-old was visiting a house when he went missing. he was found lying on the side of the road with no sign of the fear cold that hit him. anyone with information should call police. and a bus crashed carrying a high school basketball team. the lid of a drink came off in a woman's car and she lost control on interstate 65. she sideswiped a bus, causing it

the coach was airlifted and several others were taken to the hospital that none of their injuries were life-threatening. pope francis is expanding his social media reach today. the positive -- the pontiff joint instagram with the name franciscus. he already has more than 260,000 followers. pope francis is also on twitter. a weekend-long pet adoption drive was such a big success, it had to end one day earlier. -- one day early. we have more information on this shelter that started the event yesterday. because of the overwhelming response, the adoption event ended today because all of those pets found their forever homes. >> it has been such a successful adoption event and it has been so amazing to watch these
