there was a struggle in the booking area of the jail yesterday. turner is out of the hospital. steve: three teens charged with a robbery in a shoot out from a fate -- fayetteville mcdonald's. the judge raised the bond for the trio to $250,000. one of them walked into the courtroom with an arm in a sling, and another was brought in a wheelchair. they had met at the restaurant for a cell phone sale, and when they tried to rob him, gunfire erupted. tisha: community and police coming together for a barbershop need up -- rap session. the chief and deputy police chief were both in attendance. they say it is just the first step in improving relations.

steve: -- tisha: president obama wrapping up his historic trip to cuba. this is president obama's first trip to the latin american nation, and the first visit by a president since george bush in 2005. steve: a security alert at denver international airport. they closed down to a terminal because of a suspicious package. a positive hit was found by bomb-sniffing dogs. it turns out that jars of oils

family set off the alert. no bombs were found. tisha: a horrific scene. and 81-year-old woman picking up her grandchildren, another four-year-old ran into the child. the four-year-old was still trying to get into the suv, was hit by the door, and pushed under the vehicle. when she tried to help, the car rolled backward. no one inside the descartes was hurt. steve: a woman hit -- shot in the back by her son could face charges. jamie gilt put a loaded gun into the backseat, and it slid under a chair, where her son could reach it. she is now recovering at the hospital, and police are recommending a misdemeanor charge.

alarming situation for passengers. a small fire broke out in a restaurant in a terminal. heavy black smoke can be seen from the roof. fire crews were able to bring the fire under control. authorities say it started in the kitchen, no injuries were reported. charges in the infamous easter bunny brawl at a new jersey mall. two men charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. he was arrested after slipping from a chair after taking her picture with the easter bunny. he has a lengthy criminal history and is wanted as a fugitive from justice warrant. he remains behind bars. steve: it is time to check out the must see video of the night. this is at a detroit gas station.

weather, it can happen, but not too likely. in the meantime, we had a light freeze this morning. we will continue with a warming trend. remember, the average date of the last freeze is around the first or second week in april. frost can sometimes occur after that. it means that half the time they occur before that. nothing on the horizon, but there are some signs of by the end of next week, we could be cooler than normal again. so bear that in mind. we are ahead of schedule with our green up in spring, three weeks ahead. get out there and get the garden going. 37, very mild out there. a frosty start at 32. we got to 66, and 57 by 11:00. a southwest winds at nine miles

mid 50's in rocky mount and chapel, fayetteville 55. everybody should drop another 10 degrees or so by tomorrow morning. clear skies all day. there are some clouds off here to the northwest. this is our next storm system, just getting organized. rain into south dakota that will change to snow. snow getting started in parts of colorado. a major storm for rocky mountains, high plains, and upper midwest area in denver, not unusual at all. if they get some of their heaviest snows in march and april. also, snow warnings in minnesota and upper midwest, could see a foot of snow. there is a slight risk of severe weather for arkansas.

again, i don't think we will see any severe weather. upper 30's north, low 40's around the triangle. mid 40's in fayetteville. you will need a jacket in the morning, but not nearly as cold as this morning. 57 by the noon hour. much warmer than it was today. a southwest breeze, mid-70's, upper 70's around fayetteville. a beautiful day. if you did not get a chance to enjoy today, maybe tomorrow. 75 in durham, 70 four chapel hill. southwest winds, could get to 20 miles per hour or higher. that will of the fire danger tomorrow, as well. high pressure, which has brought in cold air, is now moving off to the east. at the southwest winds continue tomorrow, about 10 higher than what we had today.

we might not get to 80. here is that front again, coming our way later thursday night. all day thursday, we are drive. here is our predictor. through the evening hours thursday, we are dry with clouds increasing. midnight and beyond we see showers coming our way. could be wet in the morning hours as you head out on good friday. as you had to work or school, i think a lot of schools may be closed. but they are off to the east and we will see a clearing that will make way for a nice saturday. that is your seven-day forecast, 79 on thursday, showers come in late thursday night, friday morning. ending friday afternoon, for some sunshine, 70. saturday looks great for any outdoor plans. 65. sunday, clouds increase. and we will keep an optimistic tone.

sarah palin has signed a deal to make a pilot for a reality tv show. they say it is time to find a buyer to air the show, possibly starting next fall. a producers says palin is a natural for the role because she is not afraid to give her opinion. sarah palin has no legal training. baseball history today in cuba. steve: in the first visit by a major league team since 1999. there you see president barack obama and raul castro. at one point, the two leaders joined the crowded doing the wave. the baltimore orioles were the last team to play there, 17 years ago. you can see the whole first having a really good time there. tisha: a historic trip, indeed.
