this whole line is just going to move to the east and when you look at the timing, it's going to be around midmorning and any one of those cells would briefly rotate and produce some strong winds, and this is going to be busy on friday and even when that comes by, this is a classic example of el el nio to have severe weather tomorrow and then do it again? that doesn't happen unless el nio is prept. but we'll talk more about that. >> and now is the news alert, from the tampa bay buccaneers. about a year after firing their headcoach, they didn't have to look forward for a new coach. it's offensive coordinator dirk

1:09 am
debate setting for the first time and with that rubio has not been getting bruised by cruz, and trump. >> and what about jeb bush? he seemed to have moments, will he get a bounce out of his performance. >> not necessarily a bounce but he could gain a couple of points which could make a big difference for him. right now jeb bush is fighting with christie and others to try to carry the establishment banner of the party and he may have helped his case when he went after donald trump by doubling down on that temporary ban on muslims entering the country. >> is there anything you have heard that makes you want to rethink this position is this. >> position? >> no.

1:14 am
some people. the city has banned people on floats from throwing treats and candy, and it may be because of this incident when a 9-year-old boy was killed. he was reaching for candy when his foot was caught and he was dragged beneath the wheel of wakeup of the floats. they say they've been considering it for years and as the parade is growing growing bigger they say that now is the time to think about safety. >> they sit at the front of the float to drive it and really don't have a view of the sides and sometimes you can't control everybody. >> the critics say this is going to spoil the fun and they say

1:19 am
interstate and not deal with it. >> oh, yeah, we have all seen it. drivers are trying to use kennedy to get around the slow-downs and this has traffic officials looking to ease traffic here along kennedy and along the interstate. some of the back-ups are so bad that they have reached the st. pete side of the howard frankland bridge. task officials said they thought things would improve after drivers got used to the narrower lanes and so they are asking the contractor to shorten the period of time needed to do the work. and in the peen time they are asking drivers to be patient, but people are looking at kennedy to get past that section of 275. >> we will work with the city who controls the signal timing

1:22 am
this is up in the mouth of the mississippi and extends across new orleans, where the rain is really coming down now. this is the beginning of a quawl squall line which should hold together, and depending on the moisture we could get back over the state we are looking at perhaps a thunderstorm watch or a tornado warning. these storms, they are enhanced but the el nio passenger. this is a fast jet blowing overhead, and it's very wet in the parrishs and the bayous of louisiana. saturday should be okay and by sunday there will be another round of rain heading our way. all this is is warm air just trying to get back at us.

the dry air and this is the moisture overrunning the cool air near the ground and moving it away. but this is not going to expand to much. there is an area of low pressure, and it's going to move right along and i think by tomorrow evening, everyone should be rain-free as the winds pick up on the backside of the front. here it is in play. and it's just this little kink in the jet and that is going to ride along that subtropical jet picking up gulf moisture and as it gets closer we'll have to watch the cells to see if any of them are showing signs of rotating. it's not impossible to get an isolated isolated storm or two, and

ef2 causing damage in cape coral. and low to medium threat of a brief tornado. flooding near the coast would be -- right now temperatures are slowly modifying with 60's and 70's over the peninsula. it's stuff to tough to get severe weather. the air is too dry but there is tropical air not far away. this is the moisture that will stop spreading up the peninsula and when we get into this type of air mass, it's more favorable to severe weather. we expand on this view showing low pressure moving to the east. overnight the mercury is not going to bunch. we'll stay in the 60's and tomorrow could briefly get into the 70's with a gusty south and
1:25 am
southwest wind. the future cast has the low cutting across the state with a squall line tomorrow, the winds pick up briefly behind it and we are okay on saturday, and then sunday, whoa, look at this, another low raising along that subtropical jet and that will likely produce another round of rain and storms. some rain developing, 63. any severe threat waits until after daybreak tomorrow. windy and 73. sunday is okay, variably cloudy and mild, and another batch of storms on sunday and just for kicks we'll throw in cold air, with low 40's, tuesday and wednesday and after days of every day. >> and something else is changing too. maybe you noticed noticed that the
