good friends of my parents and mr. wilson helped my dad from time to time on the farm. >> he was supposed to be at the farm today. dee and dee baits and their family are blessed their mobile home was spared but they don't know what to think. >> we don't know what belongs to us and other people that lost things. >> everything from roofs to a boat are scattered across their hundreds of acres, it came from the wilson's mobile home. steven wilson died in the wreckage. his wife had a heart attack on the way to the hospital. their son, this three children and another visiting barely made it out alive by running for cover in the family barn. steven was taken to the hospital but released sunday night according to the hospital a updated post and a gofundme page says they are scraped up but out

you can see it caused damage to the wall and smashed up the front of the car. the driver is okay. he was treated for minor injuries. now no one was inside of the school because of the holiday, that's a good thing. police are investigating the accident. sex, torture and murder, the deaths of two men back in 2003 terrorized the gay community for a while. and now the suspect is facing two counts of murder. he may not go to trial. gloria gomez is here to explain what is going on with the case. >> he wants to cut a deal with the state but he wants the death penalty off the table. we'll see what happens. to give you background on this case, he is serving federal in 2003. the state filed murder charges for the death of two men, both men disappeared from a gay bar and later he pointed the finger

committed the murders but he covered up the scene. he is now serving a 200-year prison for drugging the men. now he is willing to concede to certain facts if he is granted something in exchange. >> in the situation, what he agreed to do tell the state attorney facts related to the murder, the murders he has been accused of in exchange the state will not recommend or seek death. >> so if the state agrees to the deal, that means the death penalty is off the table and there will be no trial. we'll have to wait to see what happens. he is in court tomorrow. we'll let you know. back to you. thank you. americans paused today to celebrate the legacy of m martin luther king, junior. there were events throughout the region.

us how the candidates scored. there were points on both sides. she had been focusing her fire on donald trump. we saw a very clear change of strategy in that debate. and she hammered bernie sanders for criticizing the president five years ago in 2011. by the way on that point cohave pointed out her campaign criticized him when she opposed him in 2008 but instead sanders just continued to refute what she was saying and stay on message. he did. and she attacked him for being lax on gun control from her point of view and wanting to move away from the affordable care act to medicare for all. see how he responded. >> there are things that we can do to improve it but to tear it up and start over again pushing our country back into that

i have seen a halo around the sun, sun dogs off on each side you get that in the winter as they are made of ice kristols, they reflect the sunlight and get the optics in the sky. you can see the high clouds racing from west to east across the peninsula and the cold air is coming, and we'll have cold air for a couple of days, we get a night or two where it is chilly. we're going to see 3, 4 nights in a row. and it is a reinforcing cold front sliding our way. it should be dry and light and good night for radiational cooling. and a by-product of el nino is in play. look, you get it moving across the southern half of the peninsula through central america and all the way out into the pacific. once in a while this jet gets active and what happens is that
