the ring. today she posted a selfie on instagram clearly showing the sparkler and there's also rumors swirling that the couple are moving in together. >> so far no official word from miley or liam's reps on the but luther king jr. day to avoid the commercialism of many other holidays. pieces. the family of killie and steven wilson sr. are gathering what's left from their home. the couple was killed by a tornado early sunday morning. though this was a difficult and emotional day, there was just a little bit of good news tonight. halley hypes is live out there to tell us about that. >> reporter: cynthia, we are learning that three of the five people who survived that hospital are out of the hospital, steven wigson jr., the son of the two victims and his two little boys are home.

girls suffered more serious injuries and will need more time in the hospital. but their family is just grateful that they are alive tonight, seeing how far that sides of the road. they spent the day salvaging what they could fromicley and steven wilson sr.'s home. pictureses, articles of clothing, stuffed animals. family members are still processing what happened here when the ef-2 tornado tore through. neighbors say they were nice people, the type that would help you any way they could. even people who didn't know the wilsons personally want to help this family. one woman drove from parish to drop off some flowers. >> i don't know the family. i wanted them to know that people in the community, that complete strangers, that we care and we are thinking of them. this is a time to rally around them and to do whatever we can, just to know that someone lost their lives right here, due to mothers nature, it's very hard. >> reporter: in this picture

the kids smiling, thankful to be alive. unfortunately, the family tells us, they don't know yet what happened to their grandparents. people from all over are trying to find ways to support the family to help pay for burial costs. a donation page has already raised about $20,000. >> people coming forward, it's a good thing. >> thanks so much. >> you know, manatee county isn't the only place dealing with tornado damage. this condo building is unlivable after the storm ripped off its roof. this was a startling image. this is the excelior in siesta key. it has mother nature's idea of a skylight there. no one was hurt. but it will take months to repair the damage. everyone had to leave the building. >> it's one of those things that you can't predict and -- boom, it's there. >> add on baywinds lane in

his injuries are not life-threatening. a double murder suspect who could face the death penalty is scheduled to be in court. scott swiekert was charged in the scpearns disappearance of two men who disappeared from a gay bar. he said he didn't kill the men, but he admits that he did help get rid of the bodies. tonight, it is said that he will concede certain facts in the case if the state agrees not to pursue the death penalty. >> a retired tampa police detective has spent his life serving others and he needs help. jose feliciano has been diagnosed with cancer, after more than 20 years with the tpb. a lot of folks out there, trying to get him some help, josh? >> yeah. specifically, cynthia, he has been diagnosed with gastric cancer. unfortunately, right now, it is not looking too good.

moffet cancer center. there is an online fundraidsing effort to fly him to tampa to go to moffitt. after he retired, he went to puerto rico, where he is right now. he spent much of his time under cover at tpd, in very high-level narcotics investigations. his family hopes people will come in and help a man who spent his life dedicated to helping others and keeping tampa bay safe. >> he was a pillar to this community, with the help of his squad and the police department. we need to be a pillar for him. >> people should realize that he voluntarily put himself in an incredible amount of danger every day he went out there and did this job. >> reporter: the hope is to get him to moffitt by wednesday. his nephew tells us, at this point right now, it is really life or death for him.

this martin luther king jr. holiday. the group is calling itself black seed and they are calling for, quote, 96 hours of direct action to reclaim king's radical legacy. they chained themselves to their cars, chanting and unveiling signs that read black health matters and they blocked traffic on the bridge. police came along and arrested some of the protesters. they are demanding an increase in the health and well being of all black people in oakland and san francisco and they cite police shootings around the country as a reason to demonstrate. >> in miami, another disruptive mlk descrugz. it was hundreds of riders, taking over the streets to call for an end to gun violence. it was the second annual guns down ride. the only problem, many of the bikers did thins like that -- ignored the traffic laws and put drivers around them at risk. some blew through stop lights,

into oncoming traffic. >> there were at least two accidents reported. one biker had to be airlifted to the hospital and another was arrested. many americans did pause to celebrate the reverend's legacy in a more typical fashion. 100,000 people gathered in st. pete for one of the largest parades in the country. the drum major for justice parade.n filled with floats and bands. across the bay, tampa held a parade, as well. thousands of people lining the streets as it wound down mlk boulevard. this year's theme, making the dreamf bands and floats and one band that came all the way from wings -- kingston, jamaica. participants said it was all the about teaching the children.

high clouds racing in from the west. ultimately, you know, this led to a great sunset. one of the biproducts of elnino, it gives you the fast jet stream. you can watch the clouds race across the sky and the photos from my facebook page. a lot of sun dogs and halos, all caused by ice crystals, cool optics with high cirrus clouds and it bends and reflects moonlight and sunlight. there was a halo around the moon. high clouds streaming in from the west. not enough to act like a blankset tonight. it means it's going to be cold. this high, until it passes east of us will continue to give us cold nights. tomorrow night will be chilly. and the modifying trend begins on thursday and on friday, a cold front goes by. more blue than red this month. talk about a flip-flop, talk about a switch.
