hero to come home. see how he will go from serving his country to serving hillsborough county. >> anchor: all right, but we begin tonight with something that will affect most of you tomorrow morning, another round of storms heading our way. we expect to see rain and heavy wind, and some of it could be severe, and mike, the timing is everything with this one. >> the timing with this round as opposed to last weekend's round is we are not looking at overnight hours. this will be during the daylight. here is the area of low pressure in question and this one out other northern louisiana right now. that tracks eastward over the overnight hours. not moving as fast as last weekend's storms and so it's going to take a bit for it to get here. another 12 to 15 hours before that line of storms makes its way into the bay.

line of storms and you don't see radar spending far enough how south but you see lightning strikes and a lot of them. this denotes severe weather, strong storms not too far off, and this all shifts eastward. because of that a slight risk of severe weather acknowledge this includes tampa, and pinellas and areas to the north, into the big bend and the panhandle, that is for mainly straight-line wind damage. the potential a couple of isolated tornado can't be rule #-d out edout but the damage passenger is potential is highest for straight-line winds. by saturday afternoon things turn cryer and windy and we have

spring hill neighborhood are keeping an eye on a 15 by 20 foot depression in the ground. it opened up on kenway street, and also at this hour, a new port richey woman is facing charges after be lying about being robbed at gunpoint. the 21-year-old told police an armed robber stole $5700 from a store why she works but her stories were inconsistent and soon they confessed to stealing the money herself. she was arrested for filing a false police report and for grand theft. and then we brought you a story about a family's search for a loved one's lost ashes. well, they've been found. as of yesterday, the ashes had

arrived and the funeral was supposed to be today, but tonight we have learned that the `ashing finally made it to puerto rico. they traveled from familiar to new jersey and then to pennsylvania. the postal service says they are regularly entrusted with people's remains but they recommend they are sent express and we are told that the rozry rodriguez family sent them priority mail. and today the florida cabinet heard a final report from researchers from boys who may have died from abuse at the dozier school for boys. but the report starts short of saying anything criminal happens.

another spectacular sunset, and we've been getting just amazing sunsets out here day after day. friday morning, a arriving somewhere around mid to late morning or so, strong to potentially severe. a best chance for severe storms about the bay area northward and realistically even farther north than that. we are looking at straight-line wind damage, but we can't rule out an ice isolated tornado or two, and the new data coming in reinforcing dc just getting hammering with likely a record-breaking snowfall for them and a cold and windy weekend for us, temperatures not getting out of the mid 50's. 499 low the low this morning.

brooksville, 57 in winter haven -- only dropping off another few degrees or two. don't expect the temperatures to get close to what they were the last couple of nights. winds out of the southeast as you wake up and out ahead of the front you see it in the west there. here is the front, in the panhandle and that extends to just northeast of new orleans, and the low progressing east, it takes most of the energy along with it but there may be just enough extra dynamics in the atmosphere to bring severe weather down to us. meantime, hppedz in high pressure in the north, filtering in that dry air, situated just perfectly for a nor'easter and record snowfall for them. in the yellow shading that is a risk for severe weather. this one is essentially tampa

chance of severe weather would be across the across the panhandle and just north of that. watch this line approach, 7:00, 8:00, should still be dry, with maybe a few showers out of ahead of this popping up but by 10:00, 11:00 there is the line with the gusty winds and that pushes through noon, and maybe just east of the bay and then really getting into the area, 2:00, 3:00, but then on the backside you get the cold showers filtering in over the bay, and meantime a big winter storm. look at these snowfall to gets. generally more than 2 feet. dc24 d.c. 24 to 30 inches and i would not be surprised to see some areas end up with closer to 3
