gasparilla. i'm record lord -- i'm linda hurtado in for kelly ring. i'm mark wilson. a strong line of storms came through leaving behind a mess in south tampa especially this. gusty winds and the storm blew a tree over. and other parts crushed the pool screening out front and did a lot of damage. nobody was hurt. the storms are gone. >> i. what to take you from this morning and the line of storms. we talked about last weekend and this this morning. the dynamics, it is the timing. they rolled through. during the daylight hours. can you see the line off shore by 10 a.m. by 11 moving through st. pete that's when we had the storm warnings and gusts up to 60 miles per hour.

that was pretty much out of here. another quick moving line of showers and storms. the front lagging behind now making its way through. on the backside starting to get the supports with the cold air pouring over the relatively warmer waters of the gulf. we have the shallow showers moving in. and the best chance for the showers will be along the coast tonight. on the north side of the system, though, that's where they are packing in and getting a ton, a ton of snow, we're talking snow fall totals approaching two feet in virginia, back to the east to richmond, 7 to 15 inches. and this does not include accumulations to an inch and crippling snow storm for them north and east a historic storm, washington, dc. potentially 24 to 30-inches with this. philadelphia 18 to 24.

plus west of washington, dc. close to 3 feet of snow in the higher elevations there. you talk about the south side of the system, the bottom of the system. that's where the front is coming through. we have the wind gusts with it. they are gusting to 28 miles per hour the last hour in clearwater and 26 in tampa and 28 in sarasota. winds will be strongest right along the coast but i expect to see strong wind gusts even as you head inland through the overnight hours into the day w that, let's talk about where we're going to be sky tower radar view. right now with those working in. heads up for the early morning hours a cold day. winds gusting at 50 miles per hour. gale warnings and rip current risks coming up in 15 minutes. >> boy, busy weekend.

in the 50s. this is where they are now. we're getting to longboat key and the 8-foot wave heights not far from there. 12-foot wave heights to the west of that we'll tap into that. that's going to cause some, perhaps, beach erosion out there from tampa bay south during the day on saturday. starts the children's parade forecast goes. 50 by 9 a.m. noon and 53. it doesn't go up from there. we stay in the 50s and all afternoon and the wind and with a little bit more in the way of cloud cover the first half of the day. you want to wear layers headed out to the pa parade. the pyrotechnic. 47 by 7 p.m. the current temperature now we have not seen the temperature

work in her favor but he has the momentum and this can be a very hard year to predict. what about hillary clinton how is she responding to the surge. >> she has the track record and she is best positioned to empraise this, and the past hillary clinton. she is moving staff and money from new hampshire and concentrating on iowa now is key to her. >> you have money, power and politics. >> we're going to focus on immigration it drove to the top of the republican pac. why why this is a hot button issue in a state like iowa. we'll bring in charlie daduff for his perspective.
