at the bethel farm workers ministry, in wii wimauma. >> their original plan was to steal from the church and they tried that and failed and so next they stole the church bus. well, that is causing serious hardship for a church that does a lot of good for the community. >> plan a. didn't go so well. >> they tried to steal our van. they failed in that. >> so these two went with plan b. >> so they stole our bus instead. >> they barrel on to the bushes and bash through a chain-link fence. >> i don't know the psychology of what drives one to do this but they knew what they were doing. >> this bus carried members to and from church.

and the other thing we are following right now, this monster storm hitting the atlantic and it brought snow and ice and knocked out power to over 130,000 people, and it's blamed for nine deaths so far, and now the snow and storm is moving north. in philadelphia, they are expected to get 18-24 inches of snow, the heaviest of that coming tomorrow. the washington, d.c. area is still expected to take the worst of the storm with 30 inches or more possible for the d.c. area. the big, wet flakes started falling this afternoon and it's only gotten heavier. the nation's capitol is now a ghost town, and it's chaos at airports approximate. more than 7500 flights have been canceled for tonight and tomorrow. airports in baltimore and

closed and that is having a ripple effect at airports all over the country, including tampa international. >> my brother is coming down from rhode island. he had to stop off in philly and looks like he is delayed. we were supposed to drive back with a vehicle to new york on saturday and i don't think it's going happen. >> this storm may bring historic record-breaking snow to totals. >> you remember that great nickerbocker storm? there is a chance they will be breaking that record that has been in place over 90 years. and this system is really far-reaching.

the way of light rain making its way on to the coastline, and that is part of that developing area of low pressure continuing to drop as it lifts off to the north and east. it brings a ton of snow to the midatlantic. and this is pretty much the northward extent of the snowfall, it's not going get a whole lot farther north than that. and the temperatures are dipping. 26 in raleigh, and 18 in buffalo, and this plays into it because the colder it gets the higher your snowfall raish yoas get ratios youget and the more snow you see. this storm has plenty of moist chork moisture to work with and the snow will continue tomorrow, heaven in the afternoon hours and it doesn't taper off until some time later tomorrow night. so the snowfall potential

our evan lambert is out there live on the parade route. is everything ready for tomorrow? >> chris it does seem like everything is in place, and everything is pretty much set for the floats to go down bayshore. we did see workers making sure that the bleachers were in place, and for people to enjoy the great food in the medians. even the barges have been set for the pyrotechnic extravaganza, and the stores were also make sure that parade-goers were decked out in their pirate finest. we saw lots of peopleads they have quite a selection there. >> these are nice, and i have not seen these. flip-flop beads, and the

armed robberies over a five-month period at these four gas stations. in each case the suspect entered the store carrying a gun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and carrying a black pak back and he also used a blue or black bandanna to hide his face. call pinellas deputies if you know anything about this case. meantime pasco deputies are trying to find new port richey bike thieves. the bikes resemble some stolen from in and around hacienda village. three cars were also broken into at the same time. if you recognize anyone in these photos give the pasco county sherrif's office a call.

an 11-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car. it happened career the happened near the intersection of 66 and park boulevard. he ran out into traffic and he was thrown into another parked car. he was not in a crosswalk at the time he attempted to cross the road. and no charges have been filed. we are hearing hearing the 9-1-1 call from the moment that a hunter accidentally shot his friend. >> 9-1-1 where is your emergency. >> i just killed my friend in a hunting accident. >> okay, what is your address? >> i don't have an address, i'm at oak hill ranch. >> tough to listen to. the two men were hunting in a wooded area, and in a call for help, will the man says he

his friend was killed. deputies are still investigating the incident. and so far no charges have been filed. >> deputies say they broke up a major fraud ring, and this is video of the suspects using fraudulent e.b.t. credit cards to rack up thousands in charges and they even used the identity of a local police chief. >> polk county deputies say this is a fraud ring that involved a lot of money, $10,000 is just what they can prove at this point. they say that stephanie johnson williford used fraudulent e.b.t. cards at this wal-mart and after that they came up with other suspects, mostly her family and friends, several of whom used

about half an inch of snow on the ground and it took some people about six hours to get home, and so imagine the 40 inches of snow that are forecast, the city is trying to get ahead of it. the mayor had to come out and apologize, but 85 million people across 20 states are bracing themselves for what forecasters are saying will be an historic storm. >> the most-feared winter snowstorm of the season so far has officially arrived. the forecast from meteorologists was dead on, with snowfall accumulations expected to reach 30? a. s or inches or more in areas butofficials say they are prepared and ready for the impact of the storm. >> everyone is in ready-mode and personnel are coming in and know they are going to be doing long shifts. >> as the blizzard makes its way

mid 50's and so just bundle up, that's all you need do. and check it out. you see the wind really start to gust here and you can see it in the waves. the waves picked up later this afternoon, and by the evening, you see the waves out by the beach cam, and i would not be surprised if into the day tomorrow we see the waves really, really start to pile up. here is a wave-height view, and they are extending down just near siesta key, and just off shore they are 12 to 15 feet, and that doesn't happen behind every cold front. this happens once every few years or so so a significant

part of the same system that is impacting the northeast. wind gusts about 25 miles per hour. up to 32 in sarasota, around look at venice, 38 miles per hour gusts and we'll see more of those gusts over 30 miles per saturday. and here is your gasparilla children's parade forecast. 50 at 9:00 a.m., and 53 at moon, and then settles into settling into the low 50's, you factor in the wind and that is why you need to bundle up. and the pirate pyrotechnic extravaganza, it's going to be parrrrrtly breezy, and shiver me timbers.

the temperatures into the day tomorrow, right around that 50-degree mark. mid 40's to the north. and look to the north during the day. it does not get out of the 40's for the folks in brooksville and crystal river. you are going to stay in the 40's all day, and south of that still not getting better, and then we have the coldest night of the year coming saturday night into sunday, and so again, satellite and radar, and you see the showers making their way on shore. the best chance of shower activity tonight would be across the coast and there is that monster low really starting to wrap up. as that pushes by, you see the winds continuing along with the showers tomorrow morning. we dry out in the afternoon but that sets us up again for the coldest night of the season, saturday night and into sunday, and sunday pretty chilly itself as well.
