the buc's quarterback has been under a microscope for his off the field behavior. lloyd sowers has details on the developing story. >> in her lawsuit the woman said the university did not respond to her allegations. she said jameis winston assaulted her while he was the quarterback at fs u.n. 2012. erica kinsman went public with the allegations a group of men took her to an apartment where jameis winston raped her. he has denied it saying it was consentual a prosecutor did not press charges saying there were gaps in the story of the accuser and not enough evidence. today, fsu will end the suit with this settlement.

$250,000 the attorneys will get $700,000. $950,000 all together. the president of the university said if they had not settled it, it would have cost them millions of dollars. it's not over yet. the settlement was with fsu. there is a separate lawsuit against jameis winston himself. that lawsuit is pending in federal court. so far we have not seen any comments or statements with jameis winston or the bucs. back to you. two top law enforcement officials in tampa along with the mayor are bashing a state control that would allow guns to be carried out in the open. the proposal has passed several committees but it has brought opposition from the sheriff's association and we are live outside of police headquarters to explain how they are taking aim at one argument for the measure.

it was on the bella vista manor that's in lakeland. the fire department has connolly. investigators say the fire started in his bedroom as a result of smoking. they say his neighbor pulled the escape in time. three were injured. we don't know the extent of the injurys. officials say considering the age of the residents there and the time the fire started around 4:30 the situation could have been worse. >> update in the manatee murders of a couple. the suspect has been arraigned in the murder of the two. cummings has been in jail since last week when he was charged with armed kidnapping in the case. according to a report, deputies received information that finland stole money from cummings. they said they were going to beat her up and kill tucksford.
