a boy was killed yards from his front doorstep. he was hit by a suv running to catch the bus. it was in the preserve apartments. the sheriff's office said he was running to catch the bus when he was hit by a suv. you can see the vehicle. the collision knocked him to the ground he hit his head and later died at the hospital. he wind to middle school. they don't believe the driver was impaired. >> teen is in a coma now. she was shot during a home invasion in pasco county. but the bullet did not come from the suspect's gun. we're learning why the homeowner is just as much to blame for what happened. and aaron mesmer is live outside of the sheriff's office. the crime does not sound random. >> it isn't that's where the sheriff said this house was a drug house that was, quote, poisoning the community and a

renting it, the person renting it shoulders the blame in the incident. she is identified at karen clark. we were there as she was arrested. before 1 a.m. three men barged into the home a suspect was armed. they started shouting for clark's boyfriend who came out with a shotgun. they described the scene as a melee. lark's boyfriend was shooting. and the three suspects got away. instead of helping two other teens in the home tried to hide the drugs at a nearby house. this was actually the second time that this house in holiday was hit in the last five months. the sheriff had strong words for everyone involved in the home. >> this is a drug house, they poison the community put people at harm, they put their neighbors at harm. we want to make sure that is out there.

we should be informed and should be knowledgeable. there have been 31 cases here in the u.s. from 11 different states and the district of columbia. we know three were here in the state of florida. there is no evidence it was spread. there is no evidence they were bitten by a mosquito and that bit someone else and caused at this it to spread, that's a concern, especially here in the south. now one of the things we should be looking at of course is going and traveling the areas. really the travel advisories are out there so women who are trying to get pregnant or are pregnant should not go to the areas. remember, if they have a family member or a spouse or someone who was in the area and comes back here, they probably need to take some precautions, obviously, to keep the mosquitos from biting one another and there has been a report of possible sexual transmission.
