was impaired at the time of the crash and the lab report just came in and there was the presence of methamphetamines in her blood. sheldon is held without bond in the polk county jail. >> mark: a missing persons case ended the way they wish every one of them could with the family in danger found safely today. a troubled mother on the run with two young children, this was something this afternoon. police a two good samaritans saw the amber alert and let deputies to find a family. >> reporter: police say this utility workers in madison got the amber alert on their cell phones, where recognized the car described and called deputies. >> we put out the amber alert. people found out about these missing kids and it worked. >> reporter: police called the search for troubled mom and her two children a textbook example of how stories like this are supposed to end.

safely located 46-year-old gigi urlich-woodard and her children, dorian sandhu and frederick sandhu. they found a family at a motel in madison, florida just south of the georgia border. >> it works perfectly because the amber alerts go out on digital billboards, billboards the dough over the highways, the ring your phone so people have the description and pictures. >> reporter: yolanda fernandez says utility workers in madison got the amber alerts on their phones, remembered spotting the car in the parking lot, confirmed the tag number and called deputies who took the mother and children in custody. the search began after gigi urlich-woodard took the children from her parents' house, the grandparents were granted custody after social services workers took them away. >> the mother has been unstable in the past, she made comments that if they take my children i will kill myself.

sheriff says the woman renting a home shoulders the blame. detectives identified her as karen clark. we were there's she was arrested. the sheriff says and the one:00 one man march into the home, one of the suspect was armed, they started shopping for clark's boyfriend who cannot of a room with a shotgun. he fired a shot as the 16-year-old girl ran to the scene and was accidentally hit. two other teenagers in the home tried to hide their drugs in at nearby house. there were strong words for everybody. >> this is a drug house. they sell drugs at this house, boys in the community, put people at harm, but neighbors at harm. i want to make sure as clearly out there, you have a young girl who is in a life and death situation. >> reporter: deputies arrested four people in the home.
