tampa. a tampa police officer is injured tonight during a chase. he crashed his car just a short time ago. fox 13's evan lambert has more. >> at the scene for you, east lake avenue and east central avenue in tampa where according to tampa police this police car here crashed into that electric pole after following a suspect's car, a car that they believed was involved in a carjacking yesterday, and also, several other robberies. three other robberies since yesterday. according to police, an officer spotted that car, a black sudan, and fostled it followed it into this area, the suspect's car ended up crashing and as that officer was catching up to the suspects car, the car also crashed. we are told the officer did have minor injuries as a result of that crash. he was taken to the hospital where he is being treated at this time.

invaded tampa bay, the parade down bayshore boulevard was a sea of people and beads and the weather was perfect as the pirates were their trurs into the treasurers into the crowd. tbd says they made two felony arrests, 21 misdemeanor arrests, two underaged drinking, one citation for having an open container. pasco sheriffs make an arrest in a home invasion that left a teenage girl in a coma. still looking for anthony stevens and one other unnamed suspect. the trio is accused of breaking into the home early thursday morning. a teen aged girl inside the house was accidentally shot by a man trying to defend himself.

there are new polls out and it is much close are than anyone thought. fox 13's craig patrick has the latest from iowa. >> we have new information on the race and very interesting wild cards. these just in from the des moines register. keep in mind this is a poll that has a history of accuracy at least in the last three cycles. it is giving in the republican race a very slight edge to donald trump, then ted cruz, marco rubio continues to place in third, at 15%. that's the republican race. the democratic race, hillary clinton inclination onto a slight lead, 45 to 42 for bernie sanders but there is a 4 percentage margin of error. that is within that margin of error range. basically, bernie sanders is

harbor, chuck alustra appreciate that. this isth has been the theme for the past month or so that we've had maybe, maybe two or three days we've had nothing but sunshine and not a cloud in the sky. and i learned my lesson back in 97, 98, even though models are saying sun, the subtropical jetstream over you, there were whipping winds. we had high clouds yesterday, temperatures all month long running for the most part below average, half degree below average for the month. literally on january 3rd we pretty much flipped the switch. and ever since then it's been much cooler than average. in fact you take a couple of days the 1st and 2nd out of the calendar and running way
