management reports 30 homes damaged in the deep creek area with nearly a dozen unlivable. neighbors lucky enough to sleep in nair own their own beds tonight are trying to do what they can to help others pick up the pieces. and although the repairs will be costly especially for the homes that had hare roofs blown off, neighbors are counting their blessings that nobody was killed. >> we want to update you on the severe weather that hit the gulf coast. two people are dead and 30 hurt after storms ripped through, and the damage is straggerring. nearly all of these trailers were destroyed. seven of the injured are in critical condition and a third person was killed by that same storm in mississippi.

miles on land, the twister flattened homes and other buildings and left the city without power for thousands of people. governor scott spent the day there touring the damage, and the storm also downed power lines and trees and posed a challenge for clean-up crews. the governor says more than 70 homes were damaged just in pens pensacola. >> she leaves the body to be discovered by the children. >> polk county sheriff grady judd says he knows this woman murdered her long-time boyfriend, and his deputies just need more time to prove it. she is in big trouble tonight, after her children that discovered their father head dead in their home. >> you have a woman are no

motive for murder but she is the prime suspect after making bizarre statements to her brother and showing him the body. police say that she has the last trn to person to see him alive, and after leaving with her kids for the weekend, she brought her brother to their home and to the bedroom and that is when he discovered his body beneath a blanket. >> he said what is wrong with him and she said, i don't know, he is just dead and he said well, did you call the police or an ambulance and she said, no, she didn't want them to ask questions. instead the sheriff said she let her 19-year-old daughter and 10 and 7-year-old sons find their

the children with the ones who called 9-1-1. she is now charged with accessory to first-degree murder but the sheriff says she is being very unquop are aive are ununquop are aive but it's only a matter of time before they get the forensic evidence to charge her. >> and detectives say they arrested these two guys in connection with a number of home burglaries. investigators tell us the burglars forced their way into the homes and stole jewelry, cash, and electronics and some in the area reported his tag number and deputies caught up with the pair in punta gorda there is no happily ever after for this couple. millionaire businessman scott mitchell says his ex-fiance broke into his home and stole millions in diamonds and jewels

warning. thunderstorms rapidly approved the coast around daybreak and then severe weather and late in the day, this sunset from upton beach, and this one from andrew deeze. this was sky tower this morning at 3:00 and the storms are still well off the coastline. but they rapidly moved to the east and northeast and they approached the coastline, produced heavy rain around tampa bay with areas of severe weather south of us, and rain lingering for a time. we did have a couple of tornadoes confirmed and no severe weather to speak of, it was all south and east of us but without a doubt the heaviest

here are the stats, there was a tornado in duet last month pretty much in the same spot. wish visual observation from workers in the area, no damage it moves across an open field, and the good folks at the weather service in tampa took a trip north. an ef3, and of the homes damaged five had major damage and eight vehicles were moved, picked up and put in other spots. that is how much wind there was in charlotte county and that was between 1:22 and 1:25 this afternoon. now all of the severe weather is gone, and this is the same storm that produced produced all the bad

the one that hit pens po will pensacola was an ef3 with winds up to 145 and behind the front, dry air moves in and it will be here several days. the last in the small line is out across cape hatteras and nag's head, but there is still severe weather near philadelphia, and strong winds and there are a number of watches up including a severe thunderstorm watch including all of new york city, back into the poconos and all of long island and connecticut. huge thunderstorms west of new york will proud wind storms and so it's a necessary mess in the northeast. the winds have shifted behind the cold front. the dewpoints have plunge and so no more humid humidity for the next

we asked our consumer reporter chris chmura to define natural for us and i'm interested to see what you found out. >> i went shopping and take a look at some of these products. >> they are natural -- >> kelley, do you see the word natural on this anyway. >> oh, yes, it does. >> and how about that one there? >> it says "all natural". does this mean organic? >> it does not, actually. what do you think it means. >> manufactures by mother nature. >> that is a possibility. >> i would think it would mean organic or healthier. >> that's what you would think. we were surprised to discover that the legal federal definition -- >> yes? >> there isn't one, soornd and so let's open up the dictionary.

definition according to the fda and so if it's undefined there is no telling what it means when you visit the grocery store. food producers can slap "natural" on whatever they want and whenever they said but that they want but that is going to change. the fda is asking for public input so define the word and so when you shop what do you want in a product that is labeled natural, this is going to play out similar to the way the department defined organic. >> they went through the same thing, actually several years' worth of public comments back and forth and proposed rules that were commented on again, and so there are organic rules in place now. >> so organic is strictly defined.

qualifications to put the word "organic" on food but between now and may 10, the fda is asking for your definition of the word natural. and i encourage you to speak up this is our chance to change the law, especially when you might pay more for a product that says natural. there should be a benchmarks. >> i would be willing to bet that xantham gum is not natural. >> it's entirely possible that it would not qualify, especially if you are the one who developing that definition. >> and what pits is pitfalls might we see. >> there is a lot of money in this clearly and there are some brands where you think the word natural? that is a part of it. consider this.
