police a short time before the shootings started, deputy served him with a protection from abuse order while he was at work. they have not said what it was for but they are served in abusive relationships. ford left on a break. an hour later he started the shooting spree on the road shooting a driver and cashed -- vehicle. he pulled into the factory where he worked and shot one there. he then went inside and opened fire on his co-workers. the sheriff said the officer who shot ford is a hero. >> he was not going to stop. the only reason he would stop shooting that officer stopped the shooter. >> ford had several convictions in florida over the last decade they include burglary, grand theft, fleeing from an officer, aggravated fleeing and carrying a concealed weapon from broward and miami-dade counties.

there are 37 travel related cases that's up since yesterday. four have symptoms. three involved pregnant women f you have questions there is a hotline they have taken more than 750 calls. the state is recommending we protect ourselves by draining standing water. protecting skin with repellent and covering windows and screens. the cdc is encouraging couples, those expecting a baby, follow their interim guidelines. >> thank you, joe. a state appeals court must wait 24 hours before having abortions. the court overturned an injunction that was blocking the law and a result the law is effective immediately. they say the weight is consistent with that of other procedures but opponents argue it will impose hard ships on women by forcing them to miss work, lose wages and pay for child care and travel.

say stole dozens of guns and ammo from a home. gregory phillips did lawn care for michael heel. heel was sick and a friend took him to the hospital. with enthat friend returned to the house ten days later he discovered it had been ransacked. heel owned 76 guns, thousands of rounds of ammo. phillips was arrested. they have recovered nine guns they are trying to track down the rest. a case like that is why st. pete police and the mayor want shops to deliver a message. it prohibits getting a list. law enforcement wants them to keep the guns locked and secure in the homes and cars so they wrote a letter hoping the firearms industry will hand it out. >> the stores that sell them to gun shows and anywhere they are used. gun ranges, to tell owners of
