11:39 pm
muslims is all like an alternative university that he created. the reality is that is not going to happen and people will be deeply frustrated and divides will grow in our country. >> craig: third big point, trump meanwhile is turning the tables. he has taken a lot of heat that even leadership in his own country construed as racist. he called hillary clinton a b bigot. >> hillary clinton is a bigot. >> craig: trump cannot the bell on things he aid and debates race that we will drill into later in the show. we have tis all across the nation that are already on edge and charlie laduff is in milwaukee after another shooting sparked days of violent protest. >> the songs become the same. cop shoots black man. angry crowd gathered egged on by the media. the crowds back up and the crowd goes away and the corner

11:42 pm
was something with seville and the guy and his girlfriend or something like that. the baby's mama or something. >> he is our age. he is black too. and he knows seville. that's -- that's real ironic to me. makes me feel more than being a police officer. i feel like there was some personal feelings in there too. >> reporter: around here, you might say the true city hall is located o down the way from the gas station. the barbershop. >> you have to be here to eit. because like i said it was peaceful at first until the police got -- got the people on the news 24 hours. now -- now it is like, okay, hey, get up here. come on, dog, come up here. lights, camera, action.
11:43 pm
let's get it. >> we never had this much attention in milwaukee. we have been having killings. we have been having cop killings. never had this. we have kids that never graduated high school and never had a job past ten years. they want some kind of recognition. they want to be seen. they want to be heard. >> we need help. we need help for sherman park. every community around the country need help because they put all the money in those shiny big buildings they are building downtown. they are employing not my color. they are not me. >> now you have kids that -- that are out here with no fathers because they got took out the house because of the government programs to get benefits. >> the kennedy administration. >> and they decided to leave the house in exchange for -- >> no, no, no, no. >> she said thank you. >> there you go. that ain't true. i am -- >> but us black people, we got so many excuses why this is happening or why this is going

more on charlie's travels on our youtube. craig patrick's "money, power and politics" and you will find satire and hard news investigations you may have missed. coming up, as zika is spread into tampa bay and congress has failed to act, john wilson gives them what for on his view. and we have a new plan to help people watched in college
11:46 pm
11:47 pm
. this is a very unusual virus. >> craig: zika causes severe birth detects and mosquitoes spread it into florida and we learned of the first locally transmitted case in tampa bay. reeach for a vaccine may come to a halt because money is running out and congress is gridlocked and on break until next month. time for trait talk with our former anchor john wilson. >> craig: so we have a zika cris we have washington sitting on its hands, congress divided and gridlock playing out for mo months. how can this happen? >> you have got the worst of congress here in front of us, craig. probably the best of florida trying to overcome a very difficult problem and doing a fairly decent job, but we need -- the state of florida needs a lot of money here and congress can't provide it. because they are more concerned about potential cuts in ebola, potential cuts in climate change.
11:48 pm
in all of this confusion. and this political division that has overtaken washington. >> craig: you have this planned $1.1 billion plus from the republicans. the president calling for $1.9 billion. they can't seem to come together and their plans seem to be laced in politics. >> see that's where we came from on this discussion. we had no communication between the president of the united states and congress. he wasn't calling them in regularly, the leadership the way previous presidents have done that and tried to have a relationship with congress on both house and the senate. he wasn't doing that, so here he goes to congress with a good idea. i need a billion dollars to help florida and protect these people and instead the political divisions kick in and no relationship with them other than a political adversary. >> craig: you have leadership in the house from wisconsin. leadership in the senate from kentucky. not as much a threat as it is to the state of florida. bill nelson said maybe if zika was creeping into kentucky we would have a different story.
11:49 pm
>> he does. this zika can travel. mosquitoes travel. the potential for damage that can be caused for pregnant women and babies is beyond the pale here in terms of being able to deal with it. i don't know what we do about it now. congress needs to be called back. that's what we do. we need to get this stopped now before it mushroomed into something way beyond it is now. >> craig: if it does not assessments from the u.s. surgeon general and others that we have a scenario in which money fight against zika will come to a halt. >> yeah. what does that tell you about our priorities? we have got people priorities over here and we have personal projects that are under way in -- in congress. that's -- -- that's why we are all politically divided. we can't get focused on emergency subjects. one of which is zika. >> craig: where do we go from here? >> congress needs to get back in session. politic are difficult for anybody to comprehend. >> craig: john, thank you so much for your time.
11:50 pm
the storm that could deliver a lot of rain somewhere next week. that could help breed more mosquitoes and hamper our fight against zika, and it can also effect the results of next w week's primary. well, of course we are watching the storm that could deliver a lot of rain somewhere next week, and that could help breed more mosquitoes and hamper our fight against zika, and it can also -- could affect the results of next week's primary, and that is the first big question for matt. the odds in these races. >> wet weather could. we don't know which direction the storm will go. although it looks like headed to the east coast. if it were to hit right around the election day, it can suppress some of the turnout. if you have a major storm you can really suppress turnout and rely on early votes to decide the race and go to the benefit of a challenger. i don't know. we will have to e. something of this level that
11:51 pm
a tropical storm, beyond that a hurricane once it got into the gulfstream, goodness, it can have a tremendous effect on the outcome because whenever you have lower turnout, off greater opportunity for there to be upsets. >> craig: okay, matt, let's move over to the national race. national polls showing one of them clinton and trump are t tied. quinnipiac showing clinton up by ten points. what is wrong with that swing? >> the pollsters are using ff the la times is a panel they go back every week and continuing to show the race being very tight. when you go to these other type polls that we have out there, we are seeing some tightening but not as much as certainly that would suggest. i do, however, think that this week that the polls in general are beginning to show a tightening in the race because the state-wide polls in some of the swing states, battleground states have been tightening over the last five or six days. >> craig: matt towery, thank you for your time.
