>> we are beginning with that developing story out of sarasota county where lightning struck and killed a woman at this park. she was moving to take cover beneath the gazebo there when the storm hit. we are jned live from mlk park by crystal smith. >> the it happened. she was crossing from one ga gazebo toanother when the lightg struck. we are told this happened around 5:30 this afternoon. on the ground you will find a pile of charred clothing next to the second gazebo, as well as a burned spot on the concrete where authorities say a

homeless was struck by lightning and killed. several people in the park say the woman had frequented here about seive seven years and it'a very popular plate park for the homeless to come and sleep because of the covered benches. when firefighters arrived they had to extinguish a fall fire from struck her. this woman said he didn't know the woman but said there is no way to explain this tragedy oother than calling it what it is: a freak accident. >> we will all come to account one way or another but today? no, i don't think i was anticipating anyone being hurt.

double murder case out of >> there are new developments in the double h murder case. the student has been in the hospital since the killings that occurred on the 15th. his condition has been fluctuating but today he was awake and able to talk to his mother, but he is still not able to speak, but they say he could be released from the hospital this weekend and be taken straight austin harrouff is accused or killing this couple, michelle mishcon and john stevens iii in their garage and when police got there, they found austin harrouff biting off of pieces of stephen's face. his father spoke today apology apologizing for what he had done. >> he is such a good person.

of you. so we are tracking that and you can track it also on your skytower app this evening. so off ways to go. in north port and englewood, and maybe all the way up to sarasota with multiple bands of rain approaching you from the east, with the occasional flash or two or lightning as well, all the way down to boca grande and that extends out into the gulf. this is rain we had earlier this evening that was the coast and a lot of you messages me on facebook and twitter. up u.s. 19, it was a tough ride earlier tonight with a huge thunderstorm up by dunedin around dinner time and this is the weather you had over the coasts a few hours ago. satellite radar with the boundary near the coast going away, and a lot of tropical moisture to the east and south.

future cast as a group of showers moving away tonight. there will be some fast-moving showers tomorrow, and again, the weekend is not going to be a wash-outut there will be bands of rain during the afternoon and then we just kind of watch invest 99l. the only potential trouble from this is any time you have low pressure, even weak low pressure in the gulf of mexico at the end of august you have to track it but up into a tropical depression or a storm, but even if it does get going it would mainly only enhance our rainfall, and maybe not cause flooding but enough to cool temperatures with more clouds. becoming partly cloudy and rain to the south ends tomorrow. variably cloudy with sunshine early, and afternoon storms. not a wash out and more of the same coming up on sunday.
