11:37 pm
combinations that produce a tie. >> it's craziness. >> that's bad crazy. >> well in those scenarios it would appear to be bad crazy for democrats. the election would go to congress and the house of representatives would decide the win r and they presumably pick donald trump. but libertarians see a scenario putting gary johnson in the white house. they hope the never trump rshgs would team up with democrats who can't stand trump with johnson. it's a long shot but not impossible given the wild turn of events we've seen in the race and beyond the 32 different tie combinations, libertarians hope johnson can win home state of new mexico. and that would produce more combinations like this one. where clinton and trump come up short of the 270 electoral votes needed sending the election to the house of representatives. if we predict this will not

happened and we've already had a pretty strange year. which brings us to the second big point in the strange conspiracy theories about hillary clinton's health. on social media you find diagrams supposedly charting issues with eye and unsteadiness. people with backgrounds in medicine diagnosises her animated expressions as this, that or the other and the coughing fits have not helped. we received a number of questions about this. in summary, going ago, clintons physician wrote that clinton is in fact healthy. her biggest health issue appears to have been a stomach virus she contracted in 2012 that caused her to faint, which caused a concussion, at which point doctors detected a blood clot in her brain. clen ton says she's passed that. >> are you in good health? >> you take my pulse while i'm talking to you. >> clinton's problem is

on the campaign trail. the good news is she can counter that in the upcoming debates and play to her experience just as ronald reagan did in 1984. >> is there any doubt in your mind that you would be able to function in such circumstances? >> not at all. mr. trut and i, i want you to know also, i will not make age an issue of this campaign. i am not going to exploit for political purposes my opponents youth and inexperience. >> meanwhile, zika is spreading through florida and congress still will not do anything about it. congressman jolly tried to scare them into action by threatening to release a jar of mosquitos in the chamber. >> can you moj the fear and anxiety if the mosquitos were outside of the jar not inside. members of congress would run
11:40 pm
before coming down here. this is the fear of florida here. it is not good enough to work on a compromise months and months with no solution. the time for politics of zika is over. the politics of zika are garbage right now. >> congress should be ashamed because here in florida republicans and democrats are generally on the same page because zika is here in florida. but our federal lawmakers across the nation are caught up in politics on this. that's how an emergency bill to fight zika stuff that has nothing to do with zika and then just gets bogged down and goes nowhere for months. we'll take a closer look at the zika crisis in florida in the second half of the show. why we usually investigate how much money the government wastes. tonight charley leduff examines how much food the nation wastes. first wednesday night and it's time for the weekly quiz show and odd ball segment. call it with scott smith.

turtle step in, throw an air punch and fall down? >> makes sense. >> does a man dressed up as a turtle step in, dog park and run away? or does a mcconnel impersonator step in and say i'll fight for washington, the dog barks at him? or the dog says, i like turtle soup? >> well i don't think they sprung for the budget to bring in the graphics that allow the dog to speak. nc let's go mcconnel impersonator. everybody has their own impersonation. c. >> let's see. >> i like turtle soup. >> really? get out of here. >> he's in a slump. >> this is not good. >> what better way than a classic quote from paul ryan. let's take a look. >> this to us is something that we're not going to give up on. >> nothing to give up on. what's he not going to give up on?

>> the next morning after a breakfast of pizza scrounged from a back alley it's time to shove off for washington, d.c. it's really hard for people to wrap their head around the idea of leaving a life with less money and not putting a priority on it. one of our mayor measures of sccess in this country is g-d-p. how much are we producing. that's our measure of success. so, you could say that i'm not producings but i believe there's other ways to measure wealth in a fully functioning society than just money. ? ? >> okay. i'm a believer. it does seem ridiculous in a country where one in five children doesn't know where the next meal is coming from.

shift in the polls starting with the national numbers. here the race narrowed to within three points. look at numbers here in our state. on average clinton leads currently by little over two points. if you look at libertarian gary johnson he's checking in the nbc poll at 12%. on average he's drawing 8.4%. he's getting close but not quite where he needs to be to get included in the national debates later this month. again, if he's checking in at 12% on nbc he's not the that far away. that's our show tonight.
