good evening. i'm mark willson and i'm kelly ring. several kids have fallen ill. they are battling shigella leading to dissentary. students are being watched to see if they have this bacteria. sounds pretty bad, 207 evan. >> reporter: students are not allowed back until they have had two negative tasks and we spoke to a parent who confirms three cases and she believes her child is infected as well. >> jessica duncan's son is almost being his old self. after a positive test for shigella wednesday he got a test that is negative. >> one more test and he has to pop negative for that, too.

at heritage academy. a private school in zephyrhills. between august 26th and september 7th, the school says three kids tested positive for diarrhea-causing shigella. the health department says 21 others are examined with the same symptoms. >> i am very concerned. it is not something a child should have to deal with. i would never thought it would happen to my kid. >> the health department is working with school administers on cleaning the school of bacteria matter to children's mouths and then from person to person. the three definite cases are in the preschool and duncan's son is 13. >> i want them to clean it up, figure out where it is coming from so no one else gets sick. >> dr. jo says not all infected are aware. they should parents should make sure their kids are washing hands frequently. >> not just washing their hands,

johnson is identified as the person who shot and killed riggins two weeks ago over serving a search warrant. he should be appointed to a fair and transparent investigation. as a result of the letter the hillsborough county sheriff's office released a statement saying the case will be reviewed by a state attorney in another jurisdiction saying in part the sheriff's office will fully cooperate with the appointed state attorney and dictate the outcome. we have learned the driver killed in the crash that shutdown a section of i-4 today was not wearing his seat belt. sky-fox was over the scene at 3:00 this afternoon near the state fairgrounds, florida state fairgrounds and that's what's left of the red saturn two cars lost control and including a semi. we are told those drivers were not injured.

luring a carpenter to a home in river view and robbing and carjacking him. they had no idea a vigilant neighbor was there watching the whole thing. that neighbor saw somebody standing by the house next door and thought it was weird and took out her phone and started recording. a short time later a red car pulled up and group of teens jumped in and took off. it started with a craigslist ad offering to do home repairs. somebody responded asking to estimate. the teenage girl lured the carpenter in the home and the group of teens robbed him and carjacked him and that neighbor michelle battle there was to dial 911. >> they were all hiding on the back side of the house. when he pulled into the driveway they bum-rushed him, man handled him and took his wallet and phone and jumped in the vehicle and took off in the vehicle and left him standing for neighbors

louisiana and thunderstorm and how often do you see the tropical storm not over water and over land. i can't remember the last time they have done that and this is a lesson they have learned with the system producing the devastating floods in louisiana. we will get the track information by 11:00 and one thing it is doing is producing a southwest wind over the bay area and all that means for us, we will likely see showe and on tonight and tomorrow morning and tough to say exactly where but likely some showers and thundershowers around. you can see rain and storms down by the mouth of tampa bay and then rain developing in northern hillsborough and pinellas and some by dade city. can you tell there's a storm on the map. the rain direction is kind of flowing and rotating around the center of julia up by jacksonville dade city and then

inland and polk county not too much. rain by fort myers. again tonight a continuation of showers and storms and rain up by orlando and nothing heavy here and circulation with julia is in jacksonville or near jacksonville and sustained wind at 25 and gusting over tropical storm force. you can see the northeast wind in jacksonville and southwest wind in tampa and south wind at daytona and it is a broad circulation. up here temperatures holdi big time of year this time of day and put on the tropical storm symbol and it will move north and northwest into georgia and probably weaken. it has to over land. it will stay in the soupy tropical air mass and of note we have ian in the atlantic. that will head up to greenland and iceland and not concerned about that.
