filled ray jay today it was bulls and noles. what they had to say about this sunshine state showdown. >> announcer: from tampa bay's number one news station. this is the fox 13 6:00 news. good evening i'm hayley heinz. >> i'm lloyd source, thanks for being with us tonight's -- lloyd sowers, thanks for being with us tonight. breaking news out of charlotte, north carolina tonight where police have decided to release the body cam and dash cam footage detailing the moments leading up to a officer-involved shooting. charlotte's police chief said there weren't any factors that influenced the release of the video. saying that they did it as soon as they were able to without compromising the investigation. he told reporters that officers saw marijuana and a weapon and keith lamont scott's vehicle before the shooting. scott's family and other residents maintain that he was unarmed. >> listen, we all know there's a lot of stuff

what has happened, what was not on scene, was it a book, is there guan. we're releasing evidence that we believe based on our fact finding mission that it will give you indisputable evidence that the facts we started with are the facts that remain today. >> we showed you earlier video was released by scott's wife. chief putney said that more fool theage will be released once the investigation is completed. since tuesday's shooting, charlotte has seen protests and the city is bracing for the possibility of more tonight. even with the midnight curfew in place. new at 6:00, two women are under arrest in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy. after a 911 call police found the boy not breathing. early this morning in zephyrhills he died at the scene. 13's evan lambert is live. evan, what else have you learned? >> reporter: well, hayley,

while police were investigating the child's death. they say they found drugs here at the home but they also say that the two women are persons of interest in that young child's death. this is how it all happened started. police say they got a 911 call from a home on apollo street just before 5:00 a.m. one of the women reported the 18 month-old child was not breathing. police found him in the doorway to the house. he later died while emergency workers were trying to save him. detectives say they found drugs, including meth and cocaine and that's why the women are charge. they've arrested 34-year-old angela bergy and 24-year-old kim bert colt. one of the women is the child's guardian the other is her wife. detectives say they are going to find out what happened to this child. >> it was, you know, heartbreaking to all of there's responded to that

the drugs were just found as processing the scene drugs were found. right now, i think our focus is you know we have to take care of the drug issue but trying to do a thorough investigation to find out exactly what happened to this young child. >> reporter: investigators say they will be aided by the completion of the autopsy. they say that should happen sometime today. there was another child in this home an older child and child is in the care of child protective investigators for pasco county. live in zephyrhills, evan lambert, fox 13 news. >> evan, thank you. we have an update on a deadly mall shooting in washington state. five people are confirmed dead that gunman remains on the loose right now. police say a man with a hunting rifle opened fire friday night inside a macy's in a town of burlington, washington, that's about 65 miles north of seattle.

underway now for the shooter seen in this image pulled from surveillance video. right now authorities say there is no indication the killings were a terrorist act. the southbound lanes of interstate 75 remain shut down following a tanker truck crash that happened friday night in north port. officials said the driver of the tanker lost control of the truck and crashed around 11:00 p.m. near exit 182. the driver was killed but no one else was hurt. the crash led to a spill in both directions of the highway were closed for several hours. the northbound lanes reopened this morning. authorities are encouraging drivers to avoid i-75 if possible. saturdays mean one thing for college football fans it is game day it and was a huge one this morning with 19th ranked florida state seminoles in town to take on the newly ranked u.s.f. bulls. >> fox 13's kelly cowan

it's right here. yeah, there has not been a whole lot of storm activity. you know unfortunately, 20% chance of rain doesn't help if it rains right over you. but not a whole lot of rain but we've seen a couple of storms pop up. some of them actually a bit on the stronger side. so we'll talk about that. take a look at some of these camera views. they may have been a little bit cooler but brookdale bay shore camera you can kind of see that shower. normally on the east side of it's covered by the rain. here is the children's hospital camera looking east you see some of those storms building off in the distance. this is a pretty cool camera view. you got a couple raindrops on there. this is our sky tower radar camera looking east. normally with this you can see downtown right, it's about two miles away from this. you can't see it at all. it is a blanket of rain about half a mile away from

localized the storm activity has been so far today. the biggest storm has been across southeast hillsborough county. a lot of lightning with that storm and some gusty winds as well. we have seen wind gusts occasionally. there's weak wng this storm. meanwhile though back to the west of that, you follow the outflow boundary from that storm kind of hitting this storm over downtown tampa helping to expand it. so downtown ebore up towards seminole heights seeing the heavier rain down through harbor island, davis island as well. you will continue to see this shower for the next half hour. so before that eventually rains itself out. then some bigger storms out across highlands hardy and desoto where we have really seen the majority of the rain over the last couple days. almanac for today certainly
