>> lloyd: good evening, i am lloyd sauers. >> haley: and i am haley hi hinds. thank you for being with us. there is a major category 4 hurricane in the caribbean right now. over to meteorologist mike bennett with the latest on matthew. >> mike: we have reached it -- watch it reach hurricane strength. here is how it looks right now. kind of fluctuating in strength over the last, say, 24 to 36 hours or it is off to the west here. to the east side, we are still seeing strong thunderstorms making their way to hispanola as we speak. the currents wind 45 miles per hour. this has been updated at 5 p.m. and moving very slowly to the northwest at 5 miles per hour. central pressure at 945 millibars. started that northward turn and should continue on that northward track over the next couple of days. by monday evening, making its

between haiti and cuba this is either going to make landfall or close to it to the greater antilles as a mayor hurricane causing big, big problems. rainfall in the range of 20, 30, even upwards of 40 inches over the next couple of days and then make its way toward the bahamas. and it will come uncomfortably close to the florida, east florida coastline by thursday and friday afternoon. should stay far enough east. no real models its way toward florida, but close enough where we will have to continue to watch this closely over the next couple of days. meanwhile, hurricane warnings up for eastern edge of cuba, haiti and jamaica over the next couple of days. hurricane watches for bahamas. we will continue to watch these storms. radar checks coming up because storms this afternoon. we will talk about that and more about matthew and the seven-day forecast coming up in just a bit.

game day and bucs are taking on the so far denver broncos and bucs fans heading to ray jay. aaron mesmer joins us live. aaron, how is the moon looking right now? -- how is the mood out there right is now. >> reporter: pretty optimistic, but this is a tough game. undefeated 3-0 broncos super bowl champions. a tough game no matter what the outcome and now 17-7 halfway through the third quarter and the bucs are hanging tough. this game can go a long way to determine if that team is for real and can contend for the playoffs but like i said, a lot of optimism at raymond james. the bucs are 1-2 and trailing at halftime, 17-7. you can feel the excitement with the bucs fans out here tailgating. even though the broncos defense is among the toughest in the league, tampa bay has the toughest where it counts in the

right in the middle of the r road. city parks on call crews were called out to chop the tree and clear it out of the busy r roadway. >> reporter: not only did the storms knock out a massive tree but caused power lines to come crashing down leaving people without power. nearby power sayings was also damage. ouc said 600 customers lost power. crews worked quickly though and restored it within about an ho day clearing the downed lines and getting things in the area back to normal as quickly as possible. gina benitez, fox 13 news. >> lloyd: so happened that we had some storms blossoming in our area right now. >> mike: things get a little interesting as we get into the evening. last weekend we had that delay at the bucs -- no storm around the stadium right now. but i am kind of nervous with pres colliding near it we may

see what you come up with on this one. let's get to it. busy, busy evening. the all children hospital, storms over the bay over the east there. starting to build. you see ominous-looking clouds and meanwhile head to brookdale bayshore camera off in the distance seemingly over downtown tampa and you can see the storms in the distance as well. sky tower radar view notice this batch of storms from the south. broken at times through manatee and on into sarasota counties. this is what i'm talking about over tampa, over hillsborough, essentially over 75. you so they boundary coming in from the east. another one moving from the west. the sea breeze boundary there. and where they collide, that's where you tend to see some storm development, and we are already starting to see some of that just off to the south and east of tampa as you head toward davis island toward the north toward tampa terrace and

it is a category 4 and all the computer models essentially take it to the east of florida. there is one that takes it close to the coast there. that model has been an outlier for the last four or five days. no other model brings it back close. having said that close enough where it is something to watch and beyond that close enough for the outer banks. perhaps for the northeast a little bit later on into the weekend. our futurecast toward 9, 10:0 pushing those storms back offshore. drying overnight becoming partly cloudy and hanging into the morning hours tomorrow. mostly sunny start. scattered storms developing late in the afternoon and building toward the inland areas where we have the best chance of showers and storms tomorrow. a 50% chance of rain as we head throughout the day on monday. so here is a look at your forecast for tonight. evening storms moving off- off-shore. 75 degrees. for the day tomorrow, more scattered storms.

strong to forgive just like he would have. >> lloyd: an autopsy will determine jacob's exact cause of death. two other people were injured in the school shooting and investigators said before the teenaged gunman went to that school, he shot and killed his father. developing tonight the national transportation safety board is investigating the cause of the new jersey train crash that claimed one life offer thursday. the agency interviewed the train's engineer, but investigators say the crash is part of a long history safety violations by new jersey transit. fox's laura ingle has more from hoboken. >> reporter: a federal audit of new jersey transit conducted this year reportedly found dozens of violations including trains overruns switches and red signals and lapses in safety protocols and train yards. the federal railroad administration has been considering enforcement action against emergency transits prior to the hoboken crash that

injuring over 100. anonymous sources report wi willedly familiar with the investigation say the audit coincided with an increase in concerning incidents at the new jersey railroad which has seen ten slow speed accidents this year and 25 accidents in 2015. from 2013 to 2015, new jersey transit agreed to pay nearly $335,000 in penalties for 33 violations of federal safety regulations. in this current investigation, 48-year-old the train's engineer was interviewed saturday but the ntsb say we won't hear about the content of their sitdown until all the other crewmembers are interviewed. an inspection of the track didn't find thinking that would affect the train's performance and no signal problems on the tracks leading to the terminal. all of this preliminary information amplifies the main question, how could this have happened. workers here at the terminal can be seen pulling cables and wires, moving equipment with
