death of a 5-year-old boy hit by a truck here his home just about 5:00 this evening. this is saddlewood boulevard, near the boy's home, and evan, what in the world happened? >> well, mark, so far it's still being investigated. it's also unclear if the driver of the pickup truck that hit the boy detectives say the boy was hit in the drive way where he pulled out into the road. they have identified that little boy as austin crawford, saying he was riding his bike with his 8-year-old sister near their house when he turned into the road. a pickup truck hit the boy and he died of his injuries.

and by the time it reaches the west coast it's heated up a lot and we have temperatures in the upper 80's to low 90's. a couple of sprinkles today, but not a real big deal, more on what is coming up tonight. right now it's a bright night, mostly moonlit, and the dewpoints are moderate holding in the mid 60's to low 70's. the winds have been week, blog at about 15 to 20 across the peninsula, and look at this, it's racing to the northeast, and weakening a little bit. last night the satellite presentation was incredible with a well-defined eye, but now not so much. but still it's a cat 2, top winds 110, around probably on the 11:00 advisory i would expect the winds to be 90 or

weaken and move out over the atlantic in a couple of days. this will keep us generally dry for the next several day and i have to add and i showed the european model during the 6:00, a lot of the model try to spin something up from the caribbean and we see this a lot in october, sometimes the tropical season's last gasp, and it's something to watch. perhaps more showers on sunday as moisture heads our way, and you get a hint of that on the gfs model, and again, don't buy into this. i'm not doing to this hype anything. just what we'll be watching and maybe something like this coming up but that is not etched in
