and 69 up in nashville. you see some winter fronts. you look at this and go that is kind of pathetic. in the sense that there is no cold air behind the front. it is dryer. and there is a temperature drop behind the front. a shift in the wind will make a difference. right now temperatures in the 70s and low 80s. it's a nice evening. it's 80. the dew point is 67. and the winds are northwest at 6. you move north of the front high pressure is over illinois. and the entire east coast is having great weather. the weather for election day on tuesday around the country looks pretty good. rain in texas. all those battle ground states should have high turn out. i don't see weather problems coast to coast. it's 73 in kansas city.

fox 13 political editor craig patrick tonight. going into the final weekend before election day. what can we expect now. >> reporter: a lot of ads. you're going to see a lot of the campaigns the candidates and the surrogates on both sides. florida is a must win state for donald trump. he needs help in addition to that as well. he needs florida plus to flip another state or 2. he does have a path to victory at this point. if he wins the state of florida. trump is going to focus his time. if you look at the early vote totals in florida by the way. republicans gaining ground from where they were at this point 4 years ago. it is very tight. president obama won by the skin of his teeth 4 years ago. it is about the state of florida. so much attention is placed on the poll numbers.

it's going to be warm. that was the case today. the almanac data 87 the high. the average is down to 80. with the end of 2015 we had numerous record highs. one year ago today when tampa hit a ridiculous 92. it was down to 36 in 1966. high pressure dominates over the southeast. the winds now are beginning to turn more to the north moves down the peninsula. behind the so called cold front it is not cold. it's 87 in tallahassee. 76 in atlanta. 69 in nashville. how can they put a cold front here if it's not cold behind the front? fronts divide different air masses. there's a drop in the dew point as you head north and west. this is our weather for the weekend. we won't have dew points in the 40s.
