alert out of lakeland where polk county detectives say they shot and killed a man who was threatened his own mother. sheriff judd just wrapped up a news conference there to explain what happened. >> you can see their crime scene truck is still on scene as they wait for the medical examiner to remove the bod that yellow house, here is what happened, 6:00, deputies called by the woman who lives in this home, she was in an argument with her son j john, 54 over her request to move a car. deputies came out of the house to find him tangling with his brother theodore, saying he was

the leg twice. john allegedly pointed his gun at deputies and she they shot am multiple times killing him. >> people don't normally act like that. people don't normally point guns at l law enforcement offices but john learned the hard way, if you point a gun at one of hi deputies they are going to shoot you. they saved theodore's life after theodore saved his mom's life. >> she h has been taken to a lol hospital and she is expected to survive, and they don't know why a simple request to move his car had him so angry, and the

below average in the next couple of days and a stuck front may drop our highs in the 70's. and the last measurable rainfall at tia was way back on october 15. we are dry but the yearly rainfall is still average and our dryness is nothing like they have had in the carolinas and georgia where a major drought is unde evil to the outside, lots of high school football games and play-offs around tampa bay, and the outlook looks great. right now we are in the 50's and 60's. tampa is 66. and the air mass is very dry. this is one of those rights where you can rest assured that your air-conditioning is not going to be running much on a

matter who held office. cities across the bay area are holding various events, and the veterans hospital will host its ninth annual veterans day parade with more than 40 groups taking part. it starts at 1:0 10:00 in the morning and then the parade is right afterwards. >> and then thousands ceremony. our very own mark wilson is emceeing that event and congressman david jolly is expected to attend. visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blanket but that national cemetery is the final resting place for
