the 11:00 news starts now. >> and we begin at 11:00 tonight with new developments of the shooting of an officer. with near a fine university in detroit. officials say they have a person of interest in custody. this happened near wane state university around 7:30 this evening. that officer was investigating reports of car bawrg burg la reez and about to talk to someone on a bike when he was shot. and that officer is in critical condition after just having emergency surge rism he was shot in the head. university president said the toughest call he has ever got even. >> our hearts right now are out to him and his family. we're waiting for his family to get here. some of his family members, his fiance and others are around ard and we're just trying to support them right now. right now of course they don't have a motive. they are still questioning that person of interest. this comes on the heels of four other incidents around the country in which officers were shot including one in lee county florida.

the officer shootings in the last few days. and o new night. the popular chain chipotle is feeling the haift class action lawsuit. and they say they falsely advertised the calorie count on the chorizo bury to. the sign said 300 call or reesms surprise, surprise t has a lot more than this. and josh i ate that burrito last week and a said this thing tastes way too good to have 300 calories. >> yeah, you would think most people already know thaits almost impose bell to get a 300-calorie meal here at chipotle and that's why a lot of people are call thrg a frif arouse lawsuit. but in talking to tampa attorney anthony rick man he says you know, what there is a calorie case to be made here. take a look. the sign for chipotle's chorizo burrito says 300 calories.

troovment the calorie count was for the chorizo only. some miss took it to be the entire bury torks beans, rice and cheese and. and now a california class action lou suit claiming the company mislead customers. on the website you can check the info for yourself. chorizo berries toes can total over 1200 calories. four times as much as on the board. local bay area customers sounding off. obvi right. and a lot of food is like that. like you should know, gee this giant burrito is more than 300 calories. lawsuit could have a big burrito size effect on the company. covering people who ate there within the last four years. local attorney anthony rick man says don't assume this is just a frif a louse case. >> when you look at it just not necessarily as i'm suing chipotle because i got this pure retorks of course that plooks
