secure. but it will cost you. boxes start about $500. and go up from there. the next best thing, ship to your office or take advantage of other identify porch options. ups fedex and u.s. postal service all offer to ship to the their nearest facility for you. amazon will ship to secure lockers. usually located inside a seven-11 or other nearby stores. >> but if you must ship to your home security experts recommend installing a porch. potential thieves may see a deterrent. if they don't. if you get that stuff on footage you will be able to give it to law enforcement they will have something to go off front door security camera have helped local law enforcement catch plenty porch pirates like thief you see here. the footage can also be sent to credit card companies retailers or shippers in order to get a refund. >> and thieves of course aren't just looking to target shopper
5:31 pm
protecting yourself online crucial best to i had vo getting ripped off to make sure you're only shopping on secure sites. check url to make sure page begins with htpps the s means secures and also shop with credit card and not debit card online. president-elect trump is close in on his pick for secretary he invited mitt romney to a private drawing lot of heat including spokeswoman during campaign. let's bring in our political editor craig patrick to tell us what to expect and why the criticism you think. let's start with expecting a decision say by this time tomorrow or tomorrow night. trump is in fact closing in on his pak a lot of trump short supporter upset about mitt romney because aripped so hard on campaign trail business genius is not on and on and on
5:32 pm
and with this you're getting a lot of push back from newt gingrich and others more notably kelly ann conway trump's spokeswoman during the latter part of his campaign who said that this is a betrayal of trump supporter considering mitt romney as secretary of state think about that for second trump is considering mitt romney then trump himself by that line of thought would guilty betraying his own supporter shows a sense of type of feud that playing out right now within the trump team. and. is obviously causing some angst for the president-elect as well. but you also have thinking within inner circles trump transition most likely president-elect himself that he may want a team of rivals. reach out to those who were quite sharp on tam pain trail he also said pretty harsh things
5:33 pm
there is maybe a compromise choice as well it david petraeus. we also know that president-elect met with him. this is general certainly stabilized iraq when many thought all was lost in that part of the world. of course, decayed later it certainly showed petraeus an ability to restore order and leadership at key time during the bush administration. the obvious down fall here, of course is that he himself had to scandal in sharing classified information with his biographer who was also his mistress. took from donald trump for mishandling classified information as he put it that would certainly work against the petraeus pick. but it shows there's now some efforts toward compromise give been back and forth rudy giuliani who campaigning for job publicly or mitt romney or maybe door number 3. we will move on now. we know there's a recount process going on in wisconsin. pennsylvania, and as well any serious chances no serious
5:34 pm
about recounts, look it may change the results 500 votes one way or other certainly had an impact on florida in 2000. but you're talking about 12,000 votes in michigan. you're talking about roughly 24,000 votes in wisconsin. talking about nearly 70,000 votes in pennsylvania. and given sizes of those states and returns, we just haven't seen any kind of recount move the numbers in anyway that would matter. would say oh to sdpupt things personally certainly in wisconsin if they for example miss a deadline in doing a recount. then wisconsin may not be able to chime in and actually bring in electors on december 19th when the actual vote take place. there is certainly drama and much more yet to come on this recount. all right thanks so much, craig patrick charleston shooting suspect dylan roof will

5:36 pm
5:37 pm
women over seventy-five are currently not encouraged to get routine mammograms to screen for breast cancer. however, new research released today may change that. woem over survivor are not encouraged to get mammograms. however new research that released today has changed that
5:38 pm
40, they followed them for about 7 years. what they found is they didn't find an upper limit. where where these women did not benefit from getting that mammogram study done. now some of the things that they looked at where they looked at the positive predictive value. what that means is if the mammogram shows something does it turn out to be cancer? and those rates were about 20 to 29 percent. which she say aren't good. they also say looked recall rate how many o again for more testing? that's supposed to be bad. those levels were very low about 10 percent. as women age, and got older it got even, got even lower overtime. so what they are saying in this particular study is we know that women have an increase risk of getting breast cancer in an older age but it seems like mammograms are helping to detect that cancer you think this will impact screening guidelines? i don't know yet. because remember, this was a study we haven't seen full study
5:39 pm
means it hasn't peer reviewed yet i'm assuming we will hear some more commentary after that happens. but we also know that there are guidelines are based on multitude of things. and back in october, we were hearing that it wasn't the detection so much that was decreasing the cancer rates or cancer deaths in women it was also the treatments that we did have for cancer itself. so again, so many different things feed into this equation. but i got to think its one more piece of evidence that older benefit. and when i looked at the numbers. if you're aged 40 your chance of get breast cancer one in 69. age 70 drops down to 1 in 27. and, and we know women are living longer i have to think that people are obstetrician will continue to offer mammograms and they do every year after age of 40. screening guidelines can affect insurance coverage. absolutely. that is true. thanks, jo. let's change gears here new hiv
5:40 pm
week. >> this is so interesting. what this does is it uses a virus that infects birds. it can infect human cells but it can't replicate. u b. u so its canary pox. they take that canary pox and insert two genes that common to hiv virus that circulating in south africa. where it's been tested. so it inserts into the cell and then the it replicates a bit and then the body am works you can't get hiv from it because it's not an hiv virus. wow, interesting. so researchers really think that this shows promise. it does. they do. because they fest tested. it was a 31 percent. percent effective. when i looked at the a study, give some patients a la mra see

avoid get hiv. so when you put that together you say well they are comparing them to group that's getting treatment as well, you know stakes are ooern higher. so, to see any kind of benefit really is significant. they get used to vaccine made it a little bit better using it in an area that i can't believe this number, but about a,000 people a day get hiv. still. amazing. and tickets to a already pretty great how about 5 decades worth of tickets? bud light is one lucky fan up to 50 super bowls. it starts this week contest runs through january 13th. look for gold can six people a week will win a pair of season tickets. one winner wins grand prize a pair kevin of super bowl tickets. for up to 51 years instantly become the most popular relative, friend, buddy,
