(vanessa - take cg3) the winston park recreation center on destin drive in the clair- mel area, caught fire a little more than an hour ago. the flames were so huge at one point, our shayla reaves could see them a mile away on the selmon expressway. ((vanessa shayla is at the scene right now... shayla, firefighters just held

(wally when the sun comes up, a major cleanup will commence across the southeast... a day after 13 tornadoes damaged homes, toppled trees and killed five people in louisiana, mississippi, tennessee and georgia. this is video from the atlanta, georgia area... where three tornadoes touched down... as you can see, the storm did a lot of damage in that area.

raging flames in tennessee... but the danger is far from over. now, the area is dealing with possible mudslides... many residents have already left the gatlinburg area, because of the wildfires... more than 700 structures in the city have been damaged or destroyed. and at least seven people have died. (wally) now, the area's most famous resident... is reaching out to help. country super-star, dolly parton... has set-up a fund, through her "dollywood foundation." she will donate one-thousand dollars a month for up to six months to "all of those families who lost their homes in the fires." dolly grew-up in the pigeon forge area, and is hurting for her neighbors. you can donate to the cause too, on dolly's website. (vanessa) it's been eight years since he was sentenced for manslaughter... and today, trevor dooley could go free. (vanessa on wednesday, a judge granted bond for dooley. it's set at 100-thousand dollars. dooley hasn't posted it yet. dooley is appealing his manslaughter conviction in the shooting death of "david james." he killed him on a basketball court in hillsborough county,

judge agreed with dooley's lawyers, that he could go free while awaiting trial. (vanessa/ we now know what caused a deadly house fire in odessa. someone left candles burning. the fire broke out monday at a mobile home in the silver dollar golf and trap club. a disabled man living there was trapped... and never made it out. his wife ran across the street to try to get help... but there wasn't much anyone could do. "james mongan" died at the scene. fire investigators say the candles were burning. there were smoke alarms, but apparently they didn't go off. the wife suffered smoke inhalation, but recovered. (wally) shades of 2000... a presidential recount begins today... but this time, not in florida. and no "hanging chads" either. this time, it's in wisconsin... and they're looking for signs of hacking or some other fraud. donald trump beat hillary clinton by less than one percentage point, in the dairy state. and most analysts don't expect that result to

factory workers in indiana are really happy with president-elect donald trump. they say he saved their jobs... and he's going to the hoosier state today, to announce the plan. but there are some questions about his exact role in the deal... fox's jackie ibanez reports. jones says: "i think the man deserves a whole lot of credit for stepping up and saving these jobs." president-elect donald trump delivers on his campaign promise to keep jobs at a carrier air conditioning plant in indiana... instead of trump doubling down on his promise to help save american jobs for american workers and american companies." however... democrats are questioning the terms of the deal... as carrier is expected to get tax breaks from the state of indiana... vice president-elect mike pence's home state... where he is still the governor.goolsbee says: "he was going to threaten them to get them to keep the jobs here. what happened here was not a negotiation, they paid them to stay there." the white house welcomed the news of keeping jobs in the united states... but says trump has a long way to go to match the obama administration's job creation numbers.earnest says: "the early indications are that this is good news and obviously we'd welcome that good news. i know that the president-elect has indicated that he deserves credit for that announcement." this comes as mister trump plans to travel to ohio and indiana today as he kicks off his victory tour. conway says: "just as the president-elect and vice president-elect they

too late. police captured a fourth escaped inmate... after a more than 7-hour standoff in california. rogelio chavez and 3 other prisoners escaped from a county jail last week. officials say they cut through bars on a second-story window... then rappelled to the ground on a bedsheet rope. two of the men were taken into custody right outside the jail... but chavez and laron campbell escaped. campbell was captured at his sister's house on tuesday. both he and chavez pending charges... they're now facing new charges as well. a group of students in arizona broke a guiness world record... for the longest high-five chain. nearly 35- hundred students lined up for the big challenge yesterday. the kids... between third and eighth grade... took 67 minutes to high five each other. the previous record was set in taiwan last year... with just over 27-hundred people high fiving.
