conclusion it is healthy. >> i have studied natural products for 20 years and natural is used all the time. everything you put in your body, michael has an effect whether it is plant based or medication. so the bottom line is you've got to be careful. >> let's get to other things here. let's put the product backup. what is niacin used for. >> it is used in people with high cholesterol and used for many years. when i was a resident and for many years when i was an attending physician i gave patients niasin. it is not so new. we have been concerned about niasin for a while. why? because it causes hot flashes but now there is data to suggest that if you have high cholesterol, and your doctor put you on that and maybe in addition to a statin drug like lipitor or something this does really nothing for you. so, the literature says that hey, we probably should not be

used niacin any more except in cases where people cannot tolerate statin is his. you have to make sure that you take your statins if you have serious coronary disease because you don't want to end up in trouble. i'm telling you, you see it all the time. you have to be careful. make sure you get that cholesterol down and exercise, to get that good cholesterol up, the hdl, exercise and make sure that you check with your doctor on these pills, don't just stop it. >> my doctor gives me niacin i have to say something right back at her or him. >> i would say doctor mike said on fox 29, that this may in the be the right thing and new dialogue. i personally do not find a lot of use for niacin in my practice. i don't use it. i use other things like statins and by the way, good old fashion exercise. >> you have a great weekend doctor mike, you the man. >> i love you mike. i love you all.

whole world wants to know why and who shot down that jet in eastern ukraine. >> who exactly did bring it down. fox 29's sabina kuriakose is following the developments live from the news room. >> reporter: so far 181 bodies have been recovered, 298 people were on board when passenger jet was shot down by surface to air missle. that number includes three babies. there are no survivors, in this crash and lets take a look at this eyewitness video just taken after the plane went down. you can see that plume of smoking up. leading theory is that pro russian rebels shot the plane out of the sky after mistaken it for ukraine military aircraft. rebels deny involvement. there are reports from rebels that the boeing triple seven's black boxes have been recovered which will give us data about what the plane was doing moments before the crash but more important evidence is likely on the ground, strewn across a war zone. this morning european officials say rebels have a agreed to allow international

investigators into the hard to reach site which they control. in the meantime malaysia authorities are defending themselves against critics who question why the plane was flying over a war zone where aircraft was men to be targeted. >> unaudible. >> we have taken this same route. there are many other countries taking this same route. i mentioned there is now... unaudible. taking that route. during that period of time there are many other airlines using that same route. >> reporter: as you heard there malaysia transport minister says there were other passenger aircraft in that same air space, at the time the jet was shot down. while some international

carriers have been routeing flights over ukraine, faa had warned american carriers to keep their distance. right now unconfirmed reports say that 23 americans may have been among those killed, the the u.s. says it will be sending a response team to the crash site. >> i still don't understand how come from the manifest we have all these other countries listed and the number of people that were on board from these countries, most of them dutch, why can't we figure out if americans were on this plane. >> reporter: right new there are 41 people whose nationalities are still unaccounted for and that includes people who were actually just taking a transfer flight on to that flight. so they didn't show their passports to get on that flight. that is what the malaysia transport minister says and that is why they have to delve into who these people are. >> if you hear anymore let us know, immediately. 8:05. officials say several world renoun aids researchers and activist heading to the international aid conference in as you veil use were on
