on five hour energy drink, what is in this stuffy see everybody
7:54 am
7:55 am

this blend of ingredients is natural and an attorney general out in state of oregon says no, no, no it is not so natural. doctor mike, what gives us the boost, sit just a boat load of caffeine. >> well, there is caffeine in it and you get someone like me, five hour energy drink, and, i may be in my hospital. but, i have natural caffeine flowing through my veins. bottom line is there is about 200 milligrams or so of caffeine in here.
7:57 am
now, i know many people who drink much more than that, in coffee, all day long, so yes, can caffeine cause problems in some people, yes. and then the other ingredients they have a number and you can see them there. there is, niacin and a few other products that claim to increase energy. look, bottom line is i don't see anything horribly wrong with this, on the packaging and believe me i looked at it carefully, so they say kids under 12 should not be taking this and more importantly michael, if you have to take a five hour energy drink then you are in the getting enough sleep. so lets get to the root of the problem and fix that. >> exactly. >> the attorney jennies saying he is upset with the word, natural. >> well, everything is natural, including homelock. >> but when you say natural, a lot of people jump to the the
7:58 am
conclusion it is healthy. >> i have studied natural products for 20 years and natural is used all the time. everything you put in your body, michael has an effect whether it is plant based or medication. so the bottom line is you've got to be careful. >> let's get to other things here. let's put the product backup. what is niacin used for. >> it is used in people with high cholesterol and used for many years. when i was a resident and for many years when i was an attending physician i gave patients niasin. it is not so new. we have been concerned about niasin for a while. why? because it causes hot flashes but now there is data to suggest that if you have high cholesterol, and your doctor put you on that and maybe in addition to a statin drug like lipitor or something this does really nothing for you. so, the literature says that hey, we probably should not be
7:59 am
used niacin any more except in cases where people cannot tolerate statin is his. you have to make sure that you take your statins if you have serious coronary disease because you don't want to end up in trouble. i'm telling you, you see it all the time. you have to be careful. make sure you get that cholesterol down and exercise, to get that good cholesterol up, the hdl, exercise and make sure that you check with your doctor on these pills, don't just stop it. >> my doctor gives me niacin i have to say something right back at her or him. >> i would say doctor mike said on fox 29, that this may in the be the right thing and new dialogue. i personally do not find a lot of use for niacin in my practice. i don't use it. i use other things like statins and by the way, good old fashion exercise. >> you have a great weekend doctor mike, you the man. >> i love you mike. i love you all.

crews will continue to comb through wreckage of the plane crash in eastern ukraine, malaysia jet liner shot down, as you know, killing 298 people on board. now both malaysia and ukraine calling for an international probe. the chris wallace will be the subject of this show on "fox news" sunday. chris, welcome to the program here. my goodness, have you got anymore information in the last couple of hours? were there americans on this plane or not. >> well, no, i don't have anymore information as to whether or not, there have been reports that as many as 23 americans were on, but they have in the released that information, one wonders whether it is because they want to notify if all of the next ofkin are notified but no, the answer is we don't
8:40 am
know that. but the leading scenario and most believable scenario is russian where is involved either directly or up directly. either they shot it down which seems fairly unlikely or pro russian separatist in eastern ukraine shot the plane down by accident with russian supplied missiles. in either case, this was a battle between russia and ukraine. this becomes a huge international incident because there were people from a number of countries on that plane. it was an malaysia airline their took off from europe. there are people all over the world including you say the the possibility of americans. it will be interesting to go see whether now finally u.s. and western europe respond in force, not military force, but really, tough sanctions against russia to persuade them to pressure put continue on call this thing off. >> it seems like we knew something was about to happen because sanctions, you know, begins those companies that
8:41 am
make missiles and stuff like that, less than 24 hours later a jet liner is blend out of the sky by one of these, missiles. >> that is right. >> i don't know if anybody could have predict that they would shoot down a civilian air liner but the separatist had bragged, this week, shooting down a couple of ukrainian, military plane, one a fighter jet and with missiles. so it seems clear they had gotten hold of surface to air missiles and were getting effective with using them. >> i will hold up, u.s.a. today, entire paper above and below the fold about what is going on in the world. we have an air liner down and israel with this ground offensive that started yesterday afternoon. my goodness. not to even mention what is going on in syria, iraq falling apart, iran. it has been a long time since

things have been this bad. >> i agree with you, and there are an awful lot of people, republican critics, but i think that they have growing support who blame president obama for some of this who say that you know, if you have have, ronald reagan used to say peace through strength. the idea you have more power and the ability to create, safer situations if you are strong then if you are perceived as being weak. we will be all over this sunday, live reports from the region, from washington, we will have the chairman and top republican on senate foreign relations, bob menendez the chairman and ted cruz, talking about immigration. very busy "fox news" sunday. >> chris, we will be watching sunday, thanks very much. >> i hope chris does not find out he will be filled by brittany spears. yeah, brittany spears, apparently, dines and dashes, we will tell you how she fixed this mistake, she says it was a mistake we will talk about

ramifications going to be. jason business has been in trouble before. >> his wife is a comedian, she just wrote a book. her handle is jenny, and how i know this i have no idea but anyway they tweeted about their son's circumcision, and that was, i guess, probably nine months ago at this point. there was a huge uproar about that. >> yes, tell her that. here comes dax, who is with tmz, hi dax. >> hello, good morning. >> so how fast did he pull that tweet down. >> he didn't pull it down fast at all. he left it up there. defended it for quite a few hours, and telling people that they didn't have a sense of humor and you know, if they go on to read stuff like that then don't go on twitter. he was standing by the joke for a long time. and then after hours and hours finally said, okay, i'm sorry for being insensitive i will

pull it down and apologized and said he was sending his positive thoughts to the victims and their families. i don't know what made him change his mind or something, maybe someone said hey, buddy, some jokes just don't need to be made. he literally posted that, directly after the news broke that the plane had gone down. it was so fresh in everyone's mine. i was saying yesterday on tmz live i saw people tweeting jokes immediately afterwards because they know shock value is there just people weren't necessarily famous celebrities and so they don't take the heat like he takes it. >> he has jump the shark in my mind, and he is just an idiot. brittany spears, now she went out to eat i under stan and then didn't pay at the cheese cake factory. we're getting a cheese stake factory at 15th and walnut. >> yes, so delicious. >> was this an accident by
