someone has lost their job the at a catholic high school. john time any is live, what's the latest. >>reporter: good morning mike anal ex, the philadelphia arch diseases says that one of the potential suspects in that horrific beating of the gay couple last week was an assistant babel of basketball coach in arch bish roup wood. they released a statement saying they do not condone this hateful violence calling it reprehensible. so far no arrests have been announced. last night i have to tell you that this man identified in the video as one of some 15 people involved in the gay bashing beating made a statement to police. he was accompanied by his attorney here at central detectives. he was one of several people who came in yesterday to make statements. now the 27 and 28 year old victims were jumped. they were brutally beaten. they were bufned and kicked. this happened last thursday

night. they were on their way to dinner near 16th and chancellor. they believe they were definitely targeted because they were gay. surveillance video exploded all over the video. that helped police identify those people. this is not a hate crime under pennsylvania state law and that's because sexual orientation is not included in the state's hate crime statute. local lawmakers are working to change that. mike anal ex we'ring whying to stay outside of central detectives. more people are expected to turn themselves in to make a statement in connection with what happened. police say they are close to identifying those who are responsible. but again, this morning, no arrest and no charges have been announced so far. > i heard that this was a reunion, the big group, it was kind of a reunion of archbishop wood high school students that
