forecast, karen and lauren. >> thanks, caitlin. happening right now, search intensified foreman accused of shooting a state trooper. police say 31 year-old eric frein ambush two state troopers killing one of them a week ago. >> police narrowed their search focus to one residential section of the county. police have the area on lock down and urging people to stay inside their homes sabina kuriakose is on this story, what can you tell us. >> reporter: here's what we know. the most of the homes in that area likely empty. second homes are weekend homes. police are focus on the neighborhood where frein has lived with his parents in the past. ap confirms shots were fired late yesterday evening in that area. area on lock down at least 20 people we know haven't been able to get home since last night. frein is considered armed and dangerous. you can see why police are taking these extra precautions. state police have not said if they believe they have the 31

year-old suspect cop killer. we do know state police remain in that neighborhood. command post set up hundreds of feet from frein's parents homes. this was second night authorities had this woodedded area closed off in barrett township. frein is a fugitive on the fbi's most wanted list. again shots fired last night the in the area of police are looking for frein. this morning we are waiting for latest details from state police. we will bring them as soon as we have them. lauren and karen back to you. >> sabina, thanks very much. also new two people were injured in the late night shooting that happened in late oak lane on the 71 hundred block of north 19th street, this is just before 11:00. we are told one of the victims is in critical condition right now. so far no arrest. man hospitals a fence and makes it through white horse front doors. secret service says he ignored command after making it on the north lawn. it prompted an evacuation of the white house. the president was not home when this all happen. it is time for our cover

when we reached out to the philadelphia police department in our area but they have not gotten back to us yet. according to the daily news however 164 philadelphia police officers have had domestic abuse complaints filed against them in just the past five years. have of those only 11 of those officers were fired or criminally charged. of that number just three successfully prosecuted. so, there is a local woman who wrote the book about the abuse she said she suffered while married to a former philadelphia officer, rosario torres bring her painful pass toes life in the book abuse hidden behind the badge. she claims her ex-husband abused her for 16 years and when she tried to report him, be in would listen. she sent us this video. >> it was out of control. we, and yes we, still live in fear, because the system was the police officer because of the story that was told. >> we have to mention that her

ex-husband was never criminal willly charge, joining us right now one of the fox 29 weekend contributors private investigators joe sol theano, a former police officer and professor joe. this is such a difficult issue that we need to talk about. why do we see such prevalence with domestic abuse in our families, in law enforcement. >> well, are contact even, thanks for having me, i appreciate your concerns, and your topic, but there is many reasons and especially when dealing with the police officers, it is very daunting when you try to enforce the the law and we have officers breaking the law. a lot of departments really try to keep these situations down low. a lot of the victims are very, kind of revictimized when they are on a police department or offered any type of counseling. they know this counseling will not last, but they know if their husband or boyfriend or significant other get prosecuted, they will be more than likely lose their benefits, therefore leaving them with nothing.

hi, i'm of fat jack's barbecue and thinks your fox food bite. so today we're going to start with the basic, just rub, great for pork, chicken, brisket any kind of meat you want. i cook the way i like to eat. i don't measure anything and i will not show you. if you like it salty the put more salt in. if you like it spicy, make it spicy. just add to it. we will start with paprika, that is about a half a cup. a little bit of garlic powder, about a cup of salt. i happen to love seasoned salt, that brings out a lot of flavor. i mean a pinch of white pepper. secret ingredient, cinnamon. that is a tablespoon of cinnamon, and black pepper, tablespoon and a half of granulated garlic. and mustard powder.

this is fox 29 weekend... >> this morning did you know that has many people shock this one stems from a vicious attack on the center city street earlier this week. so far several people have have been questioned but no arrests have been made just yet. social media played a huge part in tracking down men and the women. you see surveillance video. within hours twitter and facebook users managed to identify many of the people, many of them were in a picture taken at a restaurant and posted to social media sites earlier that evening. while people call this incident a hate crime, the philadelphia district attorney's office says it i will not be prosecuted as such. that is because according to the law what you see here ethnicity and race are the only factors prosecutors can consider for someone to be charged with a hate crime. that has fox 29 viewers fired up with rosie, summing up her feelings in just one word. she says, unacceptable.

we want to bring in attorney heather hanson. he help explain to our viewers what a hate crime is and what classifies one as up is. >> hate crime isn't just separate crime, what it is, it is an increase on whatever crime a person did. so here for example if a person is charged with an assault, the sentence, punishment would be more if they have been charged with a hate crime as well. >> i think we have to remind and explain to our viewers, we don't have that in our law here in pennsylvania, while in new jersey and delaware they do. >> yes, we are the only state in the north east that doesn't protect people's sexual preference. mental or physical a disability when we're talking about a hate crime. so here, the d.a.'s office cannot charge it as a hate crime because law does not allow them to. >> people outraged that the d.a. is not maybe should be at lawmakers. >> what it comes down to are our representatives who have have to push for this law to go through. it was the law for a very short time here in pennsylvania and it had been

these urban farms are owned by teams for good, none in profit organization that works with the local teens year round to make the community a beautiful place. organic crops are tended to, harvested, packaged and sold by the teens in the community. >> it gives teens a great experience a learning how to work with their hand, b getting to set up the farm stand, learning basic marketing skills and how to shop every week, break it down and let them learn how to be self physician in that. >> it isn't just getting their hand dirty but an opportunity for youth to learn about communication, business as well as many other leadership building skills. >> they have learned about their community, they are learning about where their food comes from, they are learning to make healthy chooses and to be leaders in their community. >> we get them to understand how to grow, this stuff and sell it and market it. >> this is in the only providing a brighter future for teens involve but for a community as well. it is educating every have one on eating healthier and making organic produce available at a low cost. >> nutritious food to the community is the main goal
