posted by her dallas hospital, shortly before they took off on that airplane. she seemed in good spirits. >> pham is being treated in one of four specialize lacing units in the country and our chris o'connell joins us live from the national institutes of health in bethesda, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, mike an alex. if there is anywhere an ebola patient want to be cared for this would be one of the top of the list, national institutes of health, clinical research center. thinks one of four places in the country they had a special bio containment unit, specifically for patients with infectious diseases like ebola. take a look behind me that is where nina pham the 26 year-old nurse from dallas texas arrived here about 11:30 last night. but as you just saw before leaving that dallas hospital where she contracted the ebola virus her doctor shooting video of pham, inn joking with her medical team.

she was seen wiping away tears seemingly in good spirits. about three hours later pham was transported by a private medical transport plane to fredrick municipal airport. we there when pham stepped out on the fog covered runway onto an ambulance and that is when a convoy of state police escorted pham here to the nih clinical research center. doctors say she will receive state of the art care in that special unit, that could only accommodate two patient was ebola. it was at the request of the dallas hospital that pham be transferred here because of the hospital, so short staffed because many are being monitored for the virus, there them selves. is there closing calls that the government is not doing enough to protect americans, a commercial airline ban for those west african countries but white house says it is not

have to go. the parents gathered in the walter palmer charter school in northern liberties last night for this decision. the school district of philadelphia says that the charter had 1200 students enrolled, and was only supposed to have 675 students inside of that school. based on it's a signed charter, of course, they had to gree to the number of students. now hundreds of parents will have to find a new school for their kids immediately just two months into the school year. >> you sit there when you start and you are praying thaw hear your child's name. i could have lived with this lottery in january, fine, i have options. i have no options. there are no options. i have to figure out what i'm going to do. >> there is another layer to the story though, the school district of philadelphia also claims an audit found the school was allegedly collecting money from the school district for students not even attending the school.

we have a rough story but there is a decent ending. local veterinarians have saved a dog from a life threatening injury. >> it is so bad that it is a miracle he is still alive. our chris murphy joins us with the story. >> mike and alex, they are calling this little guy miracle max. right now you this three month-old puppy max may seem like any other dog. he is happy, wagging his tail as you can see bye he has a rough story. the just a few days ago he was close to death.

the team at home at last dog rescue saved max from a high kill shelter on sunday night, where he was dropped off, with severe bite wound to his head and neck. they rush the puppy to a norristown vet hospital for surgery. veterinarians suspect that max was used as a so-called bait dog for dog fighting. veterinarians said he had one major bite if not two in the same area by a big dog with a lot of jaw power. so christie catuli the is now fostering max until he is well enough to be adopted full-time and that could take months and multiple surgery. the christie brings max to the vet every day to have his bandage change so his wound can heel properly. both christie and max's doctor says he is a happy dog with the great personality despite having gone through a horrible ordeal. they say am feyly will be lucky to have this little guy. i mean who does this. >> this dog fighting rings, they use them for bait to
